Micron Technology's Board of Directors has released a statement announcing the death of the company's CEO, Steven Appleton. Mr. Appleton, 51, died earlier today as the result of a crash in a small plane in Boise, Idaho - the city where Micron's headquarters is located. I hate flying. If something happens you're pretty much a stain on the ground. Sad news though.

Terrible news :(

At least he went out doing something he loved. The guy apparently enjoyed hobby flying, was flying his own Laincair kit aircraft when something went wrong with it and he wasn't able to make it back to the airport. Appleton was a skydiving triathlete and even had a history of flying stunt planes, definitely was a flying enthusiast. Apparently he even crashed one plane into the ground in 2004 during acrobatic maneuvers, but walked away from it.
