    Favorite Linux Distro?

My ultimate favorite Linux distro for a while has been SuSE.. 9.0 specifically. It's a great looking distro, with a lot of great features. It's definately the distro to go for if you have never used Linux before, but are interested in doing so. SuSE is now owned by Novell now though, and it...

    AMD vs. Intel

Yes, Intel is better at handling that type of thing. I still prefer AMD because of the gaming aspect. If I was to choose a high end Intel, or high end AMD, it would be AMD for sure. Unless the game is intensly math heavy, then Intel would likely win.

    Partition Table Bad

Welp, I fixed that one, of course.. right after I posted it. I stumbled across a program called Partition Expert, and it fixed everything quite easily. Looks like a great Partitioning program too..

    Partition Table Bad

Well.. it's been over a month since my last HDD blew up, and I am getting sick of not having Linux on my box. So I start up PartitionMagic, to create some partitions, and I get: "Partition Table Bad", proceeded by a swift program end. PM will not even *start* due to this. I currently only...

Post a picture of your mobile PC!

This seems to do well in other forums, so I thought I would throw it here as well. If you are proud of your Mobile PC, including PDA's, feel free to post a pic of it here! Ahh.. how geeks get off.

Most Important Thing To Upgrade First?

You could download the free version of Everest Home Edition and do a report. It will tell you what ram you have. You could also use SiSoft Sandra to benchmark your memory, and compare it with others. Good luck :)

Most Important Thing To Upgrade First?

Do you happen to know the speed of your ram? Also, do you defrag often? Especially if you don't have that much space free on your computer, you should defrag often. I defrag often, just to help it be that much smoother.

Most Important Thing To Upgrade First?

Welcome to the forums! By the looks of your specs, I would recommend upgrading your video card first and foremost.. especially since it's not even the Ultra version. You would see a huge increase even going to a rather cheap card, like a 9800 Pro. If you can afford it, you may want to go...

    Graphics Card or Memory?

Would somewhat depend on what kind of games you are planning on playing. You do have a low amount of memory for all the latest games, but your video card also needs some serious love. Is there a specific game you are looking for to run better? Chances are.. you may want to just save up for a...

    NVIDIA's SLI Shortchanges Gamers?

Nice.. I so want to get one of those one of these days. I still love my 9800 Pro though, but I notice a little bit of drag [no pun intended] in NFS: Underground 2.
