    PC Bioshock Demo

Hurrah. This issue has pissed me off enough that I am almost considering writing of an article about it. I just cannot comprehend how companies thing installing such malware is a smart idea.

    iPhone thoughts

The iPhone has higher quality parts than the DS... for one thing. The DS Lite feels cheap to hold, while the iPhone is sturdy and designed to laugh. Secondly, you bought some unauthorized cartridge off the black market, I am sure Apple has to pay for the robust software their product is using...

Don't show your receipt? You are not leaving!

Yeah, I would have been pissed off as well. I don't think it matters that he had issues with the store a week earlier... though I do admit he brought this on himself. It's still his right to refuse it though, simple as that.

From our news:When will the governments ever learn? Likely, never, but stories like these are great. Don't show your receipt? You are not leaving!

I was visiting a Tigerdirect (Large Electronic Retail Store) in Naperville, IL today (8/23/07)(8/22/07). All was going well until after I had paid for my merchandise and tried to leave. A security guard demanded that I show him my receipt, which I respectfully declined with a "No Thanks" and...

    PC Bioshock Demo

No worries about linking to it. It does show how clueless a company is when they package such crap with a DEMO though.

    iPhone thoughts

It's already public knowledge that the iPhone costs under $250 to make, so yes, they are really reaming people. But many Apple fans would love nothing more than that.

    Best (free) video editing software

Windows Movie Maker is not -bad-. For simple video things (no effects and such) I use VirtualDub to clip and crop, with help of the DiVX codec. As for a feature-rich application, I am not sure. For videos of games and such, I believe most people record with FRAPS and edit it with VirtualDub.

    Balloon in space...

Alright, this is cool as hell: Behold the view from 117,597 feet, taken on August 11, 2007 by a camera hanging from a helium balloon launched by a group of guys in Alberta, Canada. Called the SABLE-3 (Southern Alberta Balloon Launch Experiment #3), it was packed with a Byonics MicroTrak 300...

Aug. 24, 1995: Say Hello to Windows 95

While it wasn't Microsoft's first operating system based on a graphical user interface, Windows 95 represented the biggest step away from the far less user-friendly MS-DOS system. What Windows 95 managed to do was consolidate DOS and Windows software behind a clean desktop that, to borrow from...

    Shamino, Kinc, Theo robbed

After the dinner, yours trully took a walk with Zikria of Mushkin fame to a brand new VW Passat Variant, only to find that the rear window was broken and that the contents of the trunk were emptied. Two of the world's most famous overclockers, Shamino from Singapore and Kinc from Sweden could...

UT3 PhysX added with a mod?

Via The Inquirer: Well, Ageia has been showing off PPU-powered Unreal this week in Leipzig and, yes, the demo footage shown does look pretty neat - a hurricane sweeping through a level, tearing up the scenery and generally behaving like a hurricane does, according to the laws of physics. One...

    PC Bioshock Demo

I refuse to install the full game on the computer unless it's through Steam. The retail copy installs SecuROM... spyware/DRM. I refuse to install that shit on my computer. These companies need to get an effin clue. Hackers will ALWAYS bypass this. The only people that this crap hassles are...
