    ASUS Maximus Formula first thoughts

I managed to push the FSB a little bit further, now that I realize X38 (I assume) requires more voltage for the Northbridge than P35 did. It's hard to believe this took me an entire day to figure out, but 470FSB is the new max for that processor. It -might- go a tad higher with another...

    ASUS Maximus Formula first thoughts

I did ask ASUS what they believed the max overclock to be, but I didn't get a reply yet. I have the new BIOS installed an am stress-testing again at 450FSB to make sure all is good. I have renewed faith today that I might get the board a bit higher, because as it turns out, I was likely not...

PS3 40GB Model Coming To North America, Lacks PS2 BC Support

From our front-page news: We knew for weeks that a 40GB Playstation 3 was going to happen in Australia, but thanks to a blog post by SCEA CEO Jack Tretton, we now also know that it will be making its way over to our shores. Sadly, like the version we knew about before, this one will suffer the...

    ASUS Maximus Formula first thoughts

So... I've been spending the past few days with this motherboard and so far, it's great. Nothing mind-blowing, but it's on the same caliber as the Blitz Formula board (though I haven't compared the two directly, yet). The board is feature packed BIOS-wise, includes STALKER and 3DMark 06 and...

It's half-way easy, but not easy as you'd expect. As long as you have basic technical knowledge, you will be fine.

    HEadline....Addict needs to Build another

SLI is not dying... it's just that NVIDIA doesn't support DDR3 at this point in time. Rumors are that a 790i chipset in the new year will support the memory, but 780i is their next flagship chipset, and that will support DDR2. The P5K64 doesn't support SLI, despite the four PCI-E slots. It...

No More Analog TVs to be Found at Best Buy

Are you serious? Moving to a digital TV will cease a VCR to work? I'm not familiar with it, so I'm not sure. If it cancels out VCRs though, then it would cancel out all classic game consoles as well. I dunno though, I have an HDTV and my classic consoles work. I have never owned a VCR though.

From our front-page news: If you knew that Nintendo Japan was still supporting the Famicom, Super Famicom and Nintendo 64, you deserve a nice pat on the back. I for one, had no idea, but am impressed nonetheless. Due to the rarity of support parts, they are finally pulling support for those...

Open Letter To Neversoft: Take Two Years For Tony Hawk!

From our front-page news:I admit it. I am a massive Tony Hawk's Pro Skater fan and have been since the first release way back in 1999. I'm not a skateboarder, but I quickly realized you didn't need to be in order to enjoy the games. The series offered a perfect combination of mind boggling...

From our front-page news: According to the Associated Press, Best Buy has discontinued selling analog televisions beginning this month. Street Fighter IV Confirmed!

From our front-page news: Alright. I thought I was excited that Bionic Commando was coming back, but I believe an announcement of Street Fight IV effectively beats the heck out of that one, with a nicely executed combo of course. Right now, not much is known about the game, except that it's...
