    Audiosurf - $2.49

http://store.steampowered.com/app/12900/ I've not played the game much at all, but it has good ratings, and for $2.49, it's hard to go wrong. It's a rhythm-type game, that requires your own music to work. If you are still not sure whether it's worth your few bucks, there's also a demo available...

    When did computer building start?

One must ask... was Merlin's first PC one that accepted IBM punch cards? ;-)

    Making $$$ for TG.

Woops, not sure how I missed this. You could always use this URL here, if interested: http://ads.justrelevant.com/product_detail.php?ad_partner=techgage&ad_channel=553&country= Looks like crap, but it's functional.

First Fully-Functioning Artificial Heart Valued at $182,000

Good point Drew, I didn't think of that. I think if it came down to me needing one of these things, I'd just opt for the Iron Man model. At least then, emergency services would not expect much of a pulse.

    Intel Core i7 Performance Preview

Personally, I don't think the slight lack in gaming performance would keep me away from upgrading to Nehalem, but it all depends on personal needs. I love gaming, but I do a fair amount of photo manipulation, multi-media encoding, et cetera, and if there is a processor out there that can storm...

    MMORPG's

There are many MMORPG games that are completely free to play... you just have to filter through them and find out what piques your interest. MMORPG.com has a huge list of games, and if the game is free, it will say so under the "fee" category: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm?bhcp=1 You...

STALKER: Clear Sky Features 5-Time Activation Limit

No updates... I didn't ever bother contacting Valve or GSC, so I'm not sure what their thoughts are on things. I just downloaded a "fix" that worked fine, so I didn't bother follow-ing up. http://megagames.com/cracks/html/c927470_0.htm

Chinese Users of Pirated Vista Upset at WGA

For far too many reasons to list, I'd never want to live in China, or even visit there. You gave a damn good reason right there, as far as I'm concerned. North America isn't perfect either, but I wouldn't be scared to go out and pick up a gallon of milk here.

NVIDIA to Launch Three GPUs Next Month?

That noise is odd, and something I've never heard of a GPU doing before. I've had that exact thing with a PSU before, but no other components that I remember. Can't eVGA do an advance RMA though? I did that with BFG once. They sent me a new card first and then I sent them mine back. No need to...

First Fully-Functioning Artificial Heart Valued at $182,000

That's a good question... and not one I have an answer for, that's for sure. The question is, and this might sound naive, but is there a reason for a noticable pulse than to just be more realistic? I'm assuming if the heart stopped working, it wouldn't take took long to find out.

    When did computer building start?

Not sure if this will help, but there is a small article at the Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homebuilt_computer If you don't need an absolutely specific answer, I think it's safe to say the "eighties". I am really not sure computer parts were so common in the late 70's that many...

    Intel Core i7 Performance Preview

I agree, a small difference in overall FPS won't make much of a real-world difference (especially given how powerful our GPUs are nowadays), but the fact that there is a decrease at all concerns me. I'll be testing out gaming performance more this week, with a variety of different titles, and...

    The Need for Floppys?

I don't think I've touched a floppy drive for a specific reason in the past six or seven years... there's just no need for them anymore. Unless you are dealing with older hardware, I really don't think there is a need for it. Even some RAID drivers are now avaliable on a CD-Rom, which replaces...

    Intel Core i7 Performance Preview

Finally, almost two years after first learning about Nehalem, the launch date is almost upon us. To help whet some appetites, read our in-depth look at i7 performance see what's en route! With Core i7's launch due in just a few weeks, there's no better time than right now to take a hard look at...

XFX GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition

The X2 also costs a lot more than the GTX 260/216, so I'm unsure at the point trying to be made. There is no "butt-licking" going on. I loved this card, and when it comes down to it, I personally prefer NVIDIA over ATI because of their drivers, as I mentioned in the intro. I had the pleasure...

looking for high quality 19" no frill LCD monitor

Well I'm kind of curious... why does it HAVE to be a 19"? The only 19" I've ever stumbled upon have been cheaper models found in Circuit City and the like. If you want good image quality, you're going to have to pay money for it. Dell offers some superb monitors (their W series especially), so...

Tesla Motors in Bad Need of Funding

From our front-page news: Tesla's roadster might be one of the most talked-about cars in the industry, but the company seems to have bitten off more than it can chew. The CEO has admitted that the company is down to having $9 million in the bank, which is nowhere near as much as is required to...

First Fully-Functioning Artificial Heart Valued at $182,000

From our front-page news: We might be enjoying a day where hearts being ripped out of chests seems like a lot of fun, but the sad reality is that many people die each year due to heart-related cancers, and we desperately need a solution. Saying that "many people die" is a gross understatement...

I've heard the same thing also... and that would drive me nuts. I'm pleased with my PSP-2000... it works well.
