    Our Processor Testing Suite

Under Performance Manager, the Networked section should note all of the activity. What version of Windows are you using? If you need help, let me know and I can look at our installations here. I never refer to the networking parts of a machine, so I might not be thinking of the same spot.

    Intel Launches Industry's First 34nm Solid-State Disks

That's true. I still think that issue is in the minimum right now though, because these drives aren't so big that people are going to store or deal with such large files on their main drive all too often. I could be wrong, though. It might improve performance where archiving and such is...

Western Digital Releases 1TB Scorpio Blue Mobile Hard Drive

Yeah, who even knows what 2.5" means anymore. As I mentioned, the initial 500GB drives (I believe were released just this past CES) were the exact same way. Some notebooks support it, but I don't believe any mainstream or "affordable" ones do, due to size.

Apple's Latest iTunes Update Breaks Palm Pre Support

Hah! Glad it was that "simple". I just have to wonder how long this will keep up. It will seem a little ridiculous for Apple to just patch the issue with every single release. What a hassle for consumers.

    Introduction to Consumer Virtualization

Hi Krisia: I'm not familiar enough with VMware Server to make a definitive comment, but it appears that it's designed for server use, meaning a server is required and all virtual machines will be installed there. You'll access those virtual machines via the network through a web browser. This...

    SUSE Studio: The Do-it-Yourself Linux

Linux is well known for being very customizable, but with SUSE Studio, things are taken to an entirely new level. Imagine taking a base template, building on top of it with your personal software choices, then configuring countless other aspects (even a SQL database), then building it as a...

Could this be the worst game ever?

Sure, Superman 64 is horrible, but the Angry Video Game Nerd takes a look at a 3DO game that easily takes the cake as being one of the worst games ever. You just have to watch to see what I mean: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/angry-video-screwattack/52921 Language warning... he drops the...

From our front-page news: It seems to me that nowadays, the number of people using desktop e-mail clients is beginning to diminish. Free application for video to DVD?

Thanks a ton for the help Tango! The application from Sothink looked good, so I gave it a shot and it seemed to have worked quite well. The DVD works in the PC though, and not in the Xbox, so I'm not sure what's up there. I'd try it in the PS3, but that thing tends to play almost anything. I'll...

Free application for video to DVD?

A friend of mine has been having problems with her older version of Nero for a while, and she's looking to replace it for a more reliable application. Ideally, something free would be great, but I'm not quite sure what's out there as I never deal with these scenarios myself. She's looking for a...

Majority of People Prefer Real CDs Over Downloadable Music?

Well even if you own an MP3 player, hard copies aren't useless. It really comes down to how much you appreciate the sound quality of your music, how whether or not you want to add something else to your house. Some people don't like having a CD collection, but I'm of the opposite. I don't have a...

Foxconn Employee Commits Suicide After iPhone Prototype Disappears

Despite the hardcore work ethics, from what I understand, China has a much lower suicide rate than other parts of the world. I would have not expected that to be the case. Was is obvious, though, is that the work ethics are far from being desirable, and sadly, many people there don't even...

    Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard

That's easily the biggest issue. I'm sure there are lots of coders who could figure out unique things to do with it, but in the end, would their needs be similar to yours? I guess the big question is, what would you want to be able to do with that screen that you can't currently? Personally, I'm...
