Killing people for their fat?!

When I made this post, it was the first I've ever heard of using human fat for cosmetic purposes. Last night, I watched Fight Club for the first time (Blu-ray came out last week), and in it, the topic of using human fat to make soap is brought up. I had a total :-| look on my face... bizarre...

    Apple Patents Forced Advertising

I agree, and I'm the same, but, the sad thing is that we're different than most regular consumers. I've done some work on people's PCs because and saw ads pop-up in the corner due to anti-virus applications, or ridiculous toolbars installed in their browsers, and when I question them about them...

    Gigabyte P55A-UD4P

When I say "large" cooler, I mean the tanks of the bunch, like this: http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/038/scnj2000_detail.html That cooler you mentioned should work no problem, as it's not much different from the cooler I use...

Smoking Around Apple Computers May Void Warranty

Heh, gotta love summer! That's still rather insane though... I wouldn't imagine that a bee, or any insect would go towards something like a fan, or something that made noise. I almost wonder if it was an instance where they couldn't resist, or they tried to escape and couldn't. What a strange...

    Cooler Master Cosmos S

Our setups have changed since then. Back then, we were still figuring things out, so we used whatever was kicking around ;) Not that it's a bad cooler, but we've come to use better ones since then.

    Gigabyte P55A-UD4P

It's going to be difficult finding a motherboard that doesn't use a Foxconn socket, because as far as I'm aware, all of them do. I checked some of the boards here, and all had Foxconn sockets. I wouldn't blame the socket issue on MSI, because including it is not its choice... I just don't think...

    Killing people for their fat?!

There are a lot of weird, and disgusting stories out there, but every so often, one comes along that just defies what I thought I knew about the human race. It seems that some ridiculous gang in Peru have been going around killing people for, get this... their fat. Apparently, human fat...

    A quicky survey...

Glad you like them man! I see, I didn't realize they shook as well with the bass. That must be quite the feeling when in the middle of a heated scenario in a game.

LessLoss Blackbody Interacts with Audio Gear Circuitry for Improved Sound

When it comes to investing, it pays to do research, and if people are wanting to become rich, then is it so much to ask that a little bit of effort is put forth? I couldn't imagine being prepped to hand over $100,000 or more to some guy I've never even heard of, based on promises. You're right...

Smoking Around Apple Computers May Void Warranty

Nah, not evil, just without some great tech conversation! ;-) Ugh, that sounds like quite the situation. Was the bee still alive when it was taken out, or? I'm curious... did you see this happen, or did you just happen to notice the PC was off or something like that, and then discovered it...

    SiSoftware Releases SANDRA 2010

From our front-page news:There are few pieces of software that have remained in our testing since the beginning of the site, and one of those few is SiSoftware's SANDRA. The reason we like it is because it's robust, and it's been a trusted diagnostic / benchmarking tool for many years. Even...

Google Bans Scam Ads from its Advertising Network

From our front-page news: As I mentioned in our news earlier this week, there's a lot of advertising I can tolerate, but there's also a lot of advertising that repulses me. One such form of advertising I can't stand are scams, and I'm sure the only people against me on that are the scammers...

LessLoss Blackbody Interacts with Audio Gear Circuitry for Improved Sound

From our front-page news: The world of audio is a complicated one. You may know that you have a keen sense of hearing, and can pinpoint the most minuscule tones of a song, but if you want to discuss it with a fellow audiophile, there's unlikely to be a simple agreement on things. There's also...

    Gigabyte P55A-UD4P

S-ATA 3.0 and USB 3.0 devices may seem non-existent right now, but the add-in cards and motherboards to power them are certainly not. We're taking a look at one of Gigabyte's first "333" motherboards that supports both technologies, the feature-packed P55A-UD4P. At $180, it's priced-right given...

Cool Case Mode: The OS/Xbox !

That's a great mod... there's a ton of stuff crammed into a small space (four hard drives and an SSD!), 8GB of RAM and more. That's intense. It's kind of depressing at the same time, because he sacrificed an Xbox development kit for the purpose, when in the end, the end result was pure black and...

When Black Friday Deals Are Not Deals at All

Oh wow... There was no noticeable security issues at all? I didn't think that the credit number would be stored in plain text anywhere during the process, so it seems like someone intercepted it somehow. Might not be an employee, but a creative cracker.

    Prices are dropping ....

You're right... it's the best time to be building a machine, that's for sure. Even though I don't need an upgrade, and I'm content with all of the other electronics I own, I get excited seeing all of the wicked prices. When the time comes that I actually need something, I should have no problem...

    Has the Nintendo Wii Stalled?

Welcome to the forums :-) I agree... there's a total lack of games for the Wii right now, when there are quite a few for the rest of the consoles. A good Kirby game would be fantastic, and the same can be said for Star Fox. Although, that's one I'd be a little wary of, because I don't care...

    A quicky survey...

I'm curious as to your thoughts on those. Surround sound in a gaming headset is usually little more than a marketing ploy, but if done well, it could give off an incredible effect nonetheless, even if it's not "true" surround sound. I am not entirely sold on the ear pieces for those headphones...

HDMI 1.4 Standard Brings Revised Cable Badging

I'm willing to bet that the higher-end cables have more wires, or higher-quality wires, but it'd be interesting to look into regardless. What I have to wonder about is, what's the difference between standard, and automotive standard? I guess it could just be the end of the cable, since I'm...
