    Computex 2010

Here are some random shots so far. The show's been good so far, but it's been hard for me to get online as often as I need. Not feeling so hot either for some reason. I think it's because I talked a lot on Monday, and as I'm not used to talking almost all day, it hit me hard. Headache, sore...

NZXT Shows Off Upcoming High-End Chassis: Phantom

After leaving a meeting with NZXT at last year's Computex, I felt a little bit underwhelmed. Not by the product, but rather because after seeing all I had seen, I was unable to share photos of it all, and thus had to resort to explaining some of the products rather than letting the photos...

Corsair Goes Pro with AX Series Power Supplies

When Corsair first launched its HX series of power supplies, they were well received for their high-quality and dependability. In no real regard could that series be considered to be a value proposition, but to prove that things can indeed improve, Corsair has now followed-up with its AX...

Corsair Unveils Feature-Rich Mainstream 600T Chassis

It was at last year's Computex that Corsair unveiled its highly-awarded 800D Obsidian chassis and H50 liquid CPU cooler, so I looked forward to meeting with the company again this year to see what products it was going to pull out of its hat. Fortunately, there are many to talk about. For the...

NVIDIA Pushes 3D, Tablets & DirectX 11 at Computex

During NVIDIA's pre-Computex press conference, the company reiterated both its success with recent technologies, and also stressed the importance of 3D now and in the future. To kick the conference off, the ever charismatic Jen-Hsun Huang touted the company's recent successes, such as ION...

    Computex 2010

Found a charger :D It wasn't a bad price, either, at around $10. Show begins tomorrow... can't wait :D

    Computex 2010

Hah! I'll be sure to get some pictures. Here's one so far, from the hotel room in Taichung. Not too much to see, unfortunately.

    Computex 2010

Oh I don't suspect the charger will be too difficult to get. Plan to look around tomorrow (Sat). It's so freaking hot here in Taiwan! Humid isn't even the word for it, and to make it a bit worse, there's been a lot of rain as well. You can't avoid but be both wet and sweaty... so uncomfortable!

ATI's Eyefinity: 18 Games Benched on 3 and 6 Displays

Misha: How on earth did you get GTA IV to run well with Eyefinity? Even on an HD 5870 and minimum detail levels, the game lagged horribly for me. Perhaps it was an issue with the driver I was using, I'm not sure. stangflyer: Welcome to the forums, and thanks for the nice comments and...

    Intel's Core i5-655K & i7-875K Unlocked Processors

Most of today's desktop CPUs, including budget models, tend to be good for overclocking. But for those who are looking for the ultimate in tweaking ability, Intel's mainstream models have left a bit to be desired. With the K series, though, it aims to remedy that situation by offering unlocked...

    Computex 2010

I'll be on the lookout for that chassis... sounds interesting! I won't be able to spot it until Friday, however, as that's the first day I'll be able to manage to get to that convention center (Nangang). As for SSD's, I am sure there will be lots of them around, so hopefully we find one or two...

Using Aliases in Linux to Make Life Easier

Of all the commands available in the Linux command-line, one of the most under-appreciated is "alias". It's not just useful, it can make using the CLI less of a chore, and even improve efficiency. In this article, we're taking a look at what it is, and provide numerous examples of how to use it...

    SMP limited by memory controller

Alright, this is a bit strange. Those solvers must be quite unique, because I've never heard of the single-channel memory controller ever being a problem - at least, if we're talking about single socket, which in this case, we are. I don't quite understand it, but at least the company was...

    Computex 2010

Where on earth does the time go? It feels like we finished up our Computex 2009 coverage not long ago, but lo and behold, the 2010 iteration of the show is right in front of us! As always, we'll be reporting from the floor, with coverage to begin next Monday at the latest. Due to the time-zone...

    Futuremark Previews 3DMark 11

Haha! It does look good, but I'm not looking forward to the fact of seeing if hundreds of times over the course of its life. Although I did grow a bit tired of Vantage approximately the day after it came out ;-) That's where benchmarking the same thing over and over and over gets you!

ASUS' ROG Xpander Upgrades Rampage III Extreme to Quad-SLI

That's true, because as far as I know, this is just a standard ATX board, and in a normal case (even a full-tower), the board isn't going to fit in properly with that extra height. If you have a chassis that has a lot of slack, it might not be a problem, but yeah, not sure about the riser...

LifeLock CEO Has Identity Stolen 13 Times

As foolish as the CEO might be, I think he was smart enough to not use a fake SSN, because that would no doubt make what he did illegal (because someone else might wind up with that same fake SSN at some point).

    Futuremark Previews 3DMark 11

During all of my time spent working on Techgage, there's one fact that I've come to realize. That fact is that at just about the time Futuremark's current 3DMark benchmarking tool begins to become dominated by today's hardware, and especially today's overclockers, the company comes out of...

LifeLock CEO Has Identity Stolen 13 Times

In order to effectively market and sell your company's product, it would greatly help if everyone in the company truly stood behind it. After all, if actual employees have little interest, then why should a consumer? Well in the case of LifeLock, CEO Todd Davis was so confident in his...

    Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB

Solid-state may be the future of our storage, but for now, the prices for the latest SSD's (even value models) is still far too high on the $/GB scale. For those looking for mass storage and still-great speeds, mechanical storage is still on top, and WD's latest VelociRaptor's, which utilize...
