Absolutely DJ! I cant build normal computers. I Have one in my house, and it's like a splinter in my brain.... it will get modded... oh yes, it will! ;) Took a couple of days off at the beginning of the week for my daughter's birthday, and had some spare time.... so I whipped out another panel...

Well.... beautiful weather... combined with some time in the garage... equals.... 3rd attempt. I'm starting to plan out how the flames will be on the panel, so I was simulating the curve of the blue graphic... here is what I plopped down tonight. I think I figured out what I was doing...

    Fan hole cuts

Sorry that was kind of a crappy response by me! (damn kids were all over me! ;) ) I've never used a mason bit, but from looking at them, the leading bit edge has a larger section that will (I think) throw the hole off. I have some scrap and I can test that theory and get back to you, cool? :)

Thanks guys! The flames will be green, but I am going to try and work in the purple color I was going to use for the accent pin stripe, but instead use it to accent the flames. The purple was supposed to be much deeper, but I botched the mix ratio with the transparent base that the candy...

Merlin... I need to shoot some new pics of the extended airbrush setup I just picked up! ;) I have *finally* come to the decision that I made that mess of blue acrylic... and I will have nothing to show for it. :( So, I sat down for a few hours and taught myself some stuff in photoshop, and...

    Fan hole cuts

using a drill on polycarbonate requires that you alter the drill bit. You have to change the angle of attack on the drill head, to make it "scrape" instead of "dig". It's the digging that causes the cracks and such. If you have a grinding wheel, you can grind down the leading edges on the head...

Contemplating that... I think I will... but I might have another trick up my sleeve on those cables... just thought of it! Will need to try a proof of concept to see if it is viable... :)

As for the 3 hard drive bays that are inserted in the bottom of the case in that cage adaptor thingy, it has a spot for a 120mm fan on the front of it, and I am going to use it. But, unlike the fans elsewhere in the case, I dont want to put a lit LED fan there, as the back light will screw up...

    Lexan Etching?

If you want to try something else, get the logo that you want in a vector file format and size it to what you want and have a sign company cut it out of inexpensive vinyl. You will need it reverse cut since the adhesive would be on the front and you would be attaching it to the back of the...
