    Project: Deuce

Took the day off from work today to celebrate the ol B-Day, and what better way, than to move ahead on the mod! ;) First thing up is that in order for me to get most of these bends proper, I build a wooden jig that I could heat the acrylic up on and not worry about damaginf the joints in the...

I'm actually looking forward to my 40's... ;) not looking forward to what my body pulls on me. I grew a bit fast, as I am 6'8", @ 290lbs. My joints are really giving it to me. I've started a more agressive exercise program over the last few weeks... going to try and whip myself and my joints...

    Are SSDs Causing Notebook Defects?

I will hopefully be testing a batch of these on some of our corporate Thinkpad laptops as a install location for our databases in the laptops used in customer facing demos. Hoping this does not jinx us.

http://modshop.net/current_battles/ Wow! DSF has made it into the top 16!!! Interesting series of battles has led to this point, but just so you all know, TG was *the* primary reason I was able to furnish some of the sweet hardware in that rig! Rob assisted for this most awesome of...

    RIP CPL....

I'm wondering if this will mean more sponsors and interest in participation for Quakecon! Usually happened a few weeks after CPL. And, IMHO, was a better event in that it was free admission and was a huge glorified LAN party with gaming competitions. You guys should come down! ;)

    Project: Deuce

Yep... for all of it's thin pieces, it is pretty durable. This will be heated and bent into a wrapping/encompassing radiator stand for the top of the build.

    Project: Deuce

Thanks Rob! Neither can I! I'll remove it after Iheat form it to the shape I am aiming for... *finally* had both time and weather! Acrylic is not something I like to muck with when it is pretty cold... I feel like it makes it more brittle. Might be just me, but if I am going to be working...

Samsung Ships Two Kick-Ass Mobile Drives At Once

Yeah.... but to an entusiast builder putting together a decent HTPC, looking for low noise and low heat... I've not read of that many peeps using them. Granted, you'll still have the 1TB pr0n library disk, but at least this way you can cut down on the 2 3.5" drives baking each other... :)

Samsung Ships Two Kick-Ass Mobile Drives At Once

Reduced heat... reduced noise... I do not know *why* these drives have not been incorporated into the SFF systems as of late. I actually have a shuttle mod in my head incorporating these little boogers into the design, just relocating the storage to a non standard place. These drives are...

Dell breaks into HP conference... then brags about it!

When Intel first took over Quakecon from AMD, AMD was still there. It was quite funny. Intel (at the time) was still force feeding the P4 as the CPU for gamers, and AMD was firmly in control with the A64 and the FX. AMD was handing out T-shirts (which I still have 3-4 of) that simply stated "How...
