Hot swapping is simply being able to swap out drives without having to shut down the entire computer.........:cool: I have my Ubuntu installed on a old WD 80 gig SATA drive, it's not the fastest, but it works fine for surfing the web and basic home office stuff.

You can boot direct to the Ubuntu Live CD and use it that way if you like, but it's extremely slow running it off the CD..................:eek: Ubuntu and XP play very well together, but I'm also running 2 different drives (hot swap) One thing to watch for though, with Ubuntu you might run...

I'll be putting Vista Ultimate on a drive here before to much longer as well (getting a free copy from MS), just don't know if I want to go 32 or 64 bit yet.

One of my last boards was a MSI P6N SLI with only a 650I chipset and it performed and clocked better than my current XFX 680I LT board. I have nothing but good things to say about MSI boards right now...............;) My MSI P35 Platinum Combo board just showed up today and it's able to run...

The MSI X48 board has been listed on their site for sometime now, I just don't have a clue as to when they will hitthe streets with them. As a matter of fact, MSI lists to different versions of their board already, one with DDR3 only and the other that can run DDR2 "OR" DDR3...

Needless to say I was extremely happy when I found out that I won all this stuff, now all I have to do is receive it all..........;) The memory package came this week, with more of it yet to come. Still waiting on the MoBo to show up, with any luck it'll come soon.

DDR3 is still a bit on the rich side, but I'm making the switch (inprogress) here shortly.......................;) But I just plain got lucky through the holidays and won a 2 gig kit of DDR3 (Kingston) and a DDR3 compatible MoBo (MSI P35 Platinum)...............:) Can't wait to see how...

About a month or so ago I bought a super cheap Soyo 24" for $300 over at Office Max, after using it for a month now I find it almost impossible to look at anything smaller...............;)

I got one the day before Thanksgiving ($250 @ Best Buy), BFG 8800GT OC, it sure beats the heck out of my old 7900GT...........;) The thing runs 3D Mark 06 up around 14,000 with everything OC'd a bit.

Water cooling can be a pain to setup in some cases, the smaller the harder. Truely silent pumps, not really, about the quietest has the noise level of a low speed 120 fan at the most.

Nice looking KB, it's sure got a price to go right along with it as well.

And by the looks of it, they want their samples back as well.
