Tried all that WD junk, it says that there's nothing wrong with the drive, and I know better...............:(

Way to much cash IMHO.........;) And besides that, I have no use for most of the feature set, they will end up being turned off in the bios. But I do like the OC'ing ability of the boards.

My MSI board doesn't have a lot of voltage adjustments either, pretty much just the basics..........:) But I've done fairly well with them in the past, we'll just have to wait and see how well it does withthe new generation CPU's.

I tried all the different ports so far and sooner of later the same thing will happen, not really sure what is causing this to happen. I don't think its heat, the drive runs at 30c max, it sits directly in front of a 120mm fan.............;) So far after I swapped all the cables, switched all...

We;;, the drive has been working fine all afternoon (several hours of UT3), I guess I'll back the thing up again and start looking for a replacement just in case.

Changed out all 3 SATA cables (DVDRW, WD250 & WD80), with any luck maybe this will solve the issue.

I'm going to have to sign up for that just in case I buy something from the folks, $50 is $50 ................;)

If you're happy with the board that you currently have, might as well go with another......;)

Checked those yesterday and replace the cable, but I'll check again.

What I really would like to find is some good utilities that work well under Linux so I can stay on one drive/OS most of the time.................;) I really haven't looked around all that much for Linux utilities yet, mainly cause I'm still learning the OS, but the time will come.

I'm still wanting to head down that way, the wife and I both have family in the area (including a few Ex's) yes all Ex's live in Texas. Only issue stopping us is cash flow really, but with any luck we might beable to swing it this year thanks to the tax rebate, time will tell though.

That'd be about the only real use I could think of..................:eek: One large flash drive would serve me much better than 6 small ones for sure.

I'm not 100% sure which version/model the drive is right now and can't check, its currently not being seen by the system. I'll have to check when it comes back on line, if it ever does. Update: Just rebooted and the drive came right back online and booted right into Windows without issue...

I think that most S-PVA's default to 50%, my Soyo does the same..............;) But that's way to bright for my liking, I had to turn it way down, currently set at 35%.
