    Intel Ships Fastest Enterprise-Class SSD

Oogle indeed, price really isn't any more than the X25M version. Size is definitely smaller, but either way I can't imagine filling up a 32GB drive with a single OS + programs only... Will be cool to see the prices of these drives (Or their successors) in two years as they continue to...

NVIDIA Claims No Planned Partner Reduction

Yeah, FUD is getting to be just as good as INQ. First they report NVIDIA was letting several European partners go... then suddenly Fud publish's a new article claiming a bunch are being dropped in the US including XFX, which is obviously FUD. Then they go one step further mentioning more...

Corsair Releases Tri-Channel Memory Kits, Including DDR3-1866

The only reason FUD is right is because they will publish three articles saying yes, no, and maybe so. :D Vcore is going to be board dependand, but I've seen screenies with as much as 1.7-1.8v piped into Core i7 chips...

Adobe's Creative Suite 4, Flash 10 Both Released

Upgrade from what? If you have CS3 then it's "only" $200 to upgrade. If you are talking about upgrading from elements... probably not. You'd need to be a photograph buff, web publisher, or some such, otherwise I'd say just keep the 800 and Elements. ;)

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME!

Sounds like something is wrong with the monitor... quickest idea is to plug it into a different computer and see what it does. If it does the same thing then the monitor is probably whacked.

NVIDIA's PhysX: Performance and Status Report

I'd say reinstall the GPU drivers. When I installed a second GPU I had to reinstall the drivers again before they would recognize a second GPU was installed.

Corsair Releases Tri-Channel Memory Kits, Including DDR3-1866

1.65v is referring to the memory voltage, not the CPU Vcore. Although 1.65vCore is probably also extremely high for a 45nm chip ;) Best article I've found on the issue, I'll expect they will have more devoted to the topic at some point: http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=3426

CPU Cooler Roundup - 22 Models Tackle Our QX6850

That's true enough, unfortunately. And again is why I respect y'alls decision to not go that route. Although I'm definitely not one of those people. :D I don't think so. Heat is heat, I don't care where it comes from as long as I know the total amount of heat meets (or better) exceeds that...

ASUS Eee PC's Future, Running Windows 7 a Definite

It seems to be Windows 7 is just going to be Vista with more needed improvements, packaged with interface changes. Supposedly it will be the first Windows OS smart enough to detect an SSD and disable all the caching and constant reads/writes XP and Vista do for high access latency drives...

Is G4 Tech TV retarded in the US as well?

You gotta read the wiki to appreciate how many times TechTV was bought, merged, and changed outright. I lost interest in it when they added G4 to the name and started focusing on games. From reading it it sounds like they only have a couple people left running it. Every since Leo left during...

CPU Cooler Roundup - 22 Models Tackle Our QX6850

Disagreeing is fine, I'll respect that. This is just why I like Madshrimps for cooler reviews. Just look at all those results: Link Because they have so many coolers tested with their old P4 platform, they're working on new ways to present the info. Link2 Personally, I don't care if...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

I don't have the links handly but I've seen someone post images on removing the southbridge cooler. I don't presently recall any typical aircooled blocks for the NB for that board. I do know someone was designing custom blocks to cool the chipset... other blocks and info can be found at...

Adobe's Creative Suite 4, Flash 10 Both Released

Well, it pays to be a student *cough*. They only have CS3 though, might be a long while before they get CS4 around. As for Elements 4, I found it for $40 at a Costco. Elements 7 is supposed to be $100 now, but I bet someone has some discounts on it... or at least some hefty discounts on...

Intel's X58 Chipset to Cost Less than X48?

Actually, nope! Not a clue on prices until I spotted what ya were saying earlier about them. Edit: Whoa... http://www.nordichardware.com/news,8269.html

CPU Cooler Roundup - 22 Models Tackle Our QX6850

That's just it. The goal of testing (IMHO) is to test how well the cooler performs at removing heat, not to test how well it cools a specific CPU. As long as all the CPU coolers are used to test the same Pentium 4 at the same overclock setting, anyone from a dualcore to a quadcore to a user that...

Adobe's Creative Suite 4, Flash 10 Both Released

Just remember Elements has many of the advanced background masking/removal tools removed. So if ya plan to check it out, make sure to double-check they didn't remove the tools you are looking for! That was the only reason I ugpraded at all, something like 3 of the 5 different tools you'd use...

Intel's X58 Chipset to Cost Less than X48?

Ah, found some of the links. Info+photos are out on: Foxconn, three different X58 boards. ASUS, three different X58 boards. MSI, two different X58 boards plus one still in design phase Intel, one X58 board Gigabyte, two X58 boards An OEM version of a Skulltrail board was also spotted...

AMD Splits In Two, Planning New Fab in 2009

IMO it's just whining because they want to whine about it. Corporate execs at multi-million giants do it all the time, often when it servers no direct purpose. I always figured it had a bit of PR behind it though. Anyway, thanks for pointing out SSE4a and SSE4.1 don't match. I'd goofed on...
