    XG Viper 2

I spoke at some length with the MGE rep about the plastic fantastic cases that are being put out. I told him that something that wasn't as far-out looking would most likely reach a broader audience.

FS: Intel Mobo, P4 and 6800NU

I've got my P4, Chaintech 9CJS Zenith (i875P chipset) and eVGA 6800 up for sale. I'm asking $175 for the lot. Since I've been asked: I will part out the mobo, CPU and 6800. CPU: P4 2.4C, runs 3282mhz with no errors $55 Mobo: Chaintech 9CJS Zenith, comes with all accessories except...

    Vizo Luxon External HDD Enclosure

True but as a $60 combo it's hard to beat. It's not like USB 2.0 or firewire can feed data faster than an ATA drive can handle. I've read good things about the Ultra enclosure too, there's no telling how proficient the people having problems were.

    Evercool VC-RHC GPU Cooler

The ram on the face of the card has air flowing over it so, yes, it is cooled just not sinked. You could probably add a cheap set of low profile sinks for $8.00 which considering it's a $20 cooler still makes it cheaper than the competition.

    Vizo Luxon External HDD Enclosure

I saw a Seagate 160Gig ATA drive with free Ultra external USB enclosure for $59.99 at Radio Shack the other day but now it's just showing the drive for that price but oddly enough it's listed in the "External HDD" section...

    Seagate 750GB Barracuda 7200.10

Since Rob didn't list the system tested I looked up both of his mobos and neither one has SATA I ports on them. His Intel based rig has 8 SATA II ports and his AMD rig has 4. The only thing I can say is it's a hiccup. Sometimes we run across anonmolous results and it would appear this is the...

    Who's going AM2?

Not I, I'll sit and watch the FS&T threads at the forums I visit for a good deal on mobos, procs and ram though...giggling like a little girl the whole time.

    XG Duro 900 Power Supply

I'd like to let everyone know that MGE got the spec.s changed for the Duro on their site. It now correctly states 750W continuous and 900W peak. Their rep assures me that the new shipment will be correctly labeled as well. I hope that he's right.

How much hard drive space do you have?

It's not all pr0n...besides, then I'd have to shuffle through one of my 400 disks to find it and that'd suck.

How much hard drive space do you have?

I've got two 160 gig WD1600JDs (SATA, 8 meg buffer) and I've got about 15% free between the two.

    The Un-official Jokes Thread

A FATHER PASSING BY HIS SON'S BEDROOM WAS ASTONISHED TO SEE THE BED WAS NICELY MADE AND EVERYTHING WAS PICKED UP. THEN HE SAW AN ENVELOPE PROPPED UP PROMINENTLY ON THE CENTER OF THE BED. IT WAS ADDRESSED, "DAD" WITH THE WORST PREMONITION, HE OPENED THE ENVELOPE AND READ THE LETTER...

Flash BIOS and system has shut down...

Don't be too hard on yourself. These things happen, this just illustrates why you should only use a MFG. windows utility to flash a bios or do it in dos. Consider it a learning experience.

Flash BIOS and system has shut down...

Look in your manual (Yes, real men do read the manual) and see if there is a way of recovering the bios from a failed flash. If worse comes to worse you can pull a socketed bios chip (Store it in an anti-static bag), drive down to the local PC shop that carries your board and pay them $20 to hot...

Switech Apex Ultra & MCW60 Review

Gabe says that milling acrylic causes weakening and it's just a matter of time until those weak spots will fail. He doesn't want to have failures with his product line. Machined Delrin doesn't have that problem so that's why they use Acetal for the Storm. Now that's a block I'd like to get my...

    Ageia PhysX First Look

Ageia's PhysX started out as a killer concept but now that concept is reality. Today we take a look at that reality and touch on what it offers and what it will offer in the future. Read the story here then talk about it here.

Switech Apex Ultra & MCW60 Review

The only 3/8" barbs I got were with the MCW60's. None with the kit itself. You do know why Swiftech will never have plexi tops as long as Gabe's there don't you?

Switech Apex Ultra & MCW60 Review

The D.D. kit belongs to Vince who was kind enough to allow me to use his PC as a testbed. The $260 is the kit itself, the MCW60's tip the scales at $63.00 each but they do include $19.95 worth of ramsinks with each one so that offsets the price back to $44.00 for the block alone. Which you can...
