    Arctic Cooling Accelero X1

The case door was off during the entire comparison. Do you not think we'd factor in the fact that "hey if I can't put the side on with cooler A then I better leave it off wirh cooler B"? Besides in both situations the door was leaned up against the case just not attached due to the fact that the...

Corsair Unveils the World’s Fastest Production DDR2 and DDR1 RAM

I'm glad you guys can understand my position, most people just think I'm Corsairphobic and have no understanding of why I see that kind of failure rate as anything to consider extreme.

Corsair Unveils the World’s Fastest Production DDR2 and DDR1 RAM

To my thinking, I could understand if it was 2 sticks out of 12 (yes, 12, PC3700 = 2 sticks, twice. PC3200 + 4 sticks also twice) but to have issues with 12 sticks out of 12 sticks. That's just too high of a failure rate for me to want to spend money on that brand ever again. If you bought 6...

Corsair Unveils the World’s Fastest Production DDR2 and DDR1 RAM

I bought a PC3700 kit for $320 back in 2003 that had bad problems with not wanting to do anything over 466MHz, for $320 it should have some headroom plus I had 4x256Mb sticks of their PC3200LL with BH5 chips that couldn't run the default 2-2-3-5 cas latencies at 200MHz. All that ram got RMA'd...

Corsair Unveils the World’s Fastest Production DDR2 and DDR1 RAM

Interesting, too bad it's Corsair. Yes, I'm a bit biased against them.

Proposed hardware with an eye to OC - What do you think?

Right now the A8N32 with it's 8 phase power is one of the darlings of the OC scene. I've read more than a few reviews where they were able to get it to best OCs made with DFI boards so I wouldn't be so quick to discount it quite yet. As to the passive cooling employed by Abit and ASUS, they...

I don't care how many people trash talk Swiftech for using molded tops, that just looks good.

    Arctic Cooling Accelero X1

Yeah, there's that and babelfish but I really dislike those as they do a literal translation so the words are the English equivelent but the syntax is still jumbled unlike a translation done by someone fluent in the language. I've done that and still couldn't really understand what they were...

    Arctic Cooling Accelero X1

I have no clue if the sinks are included, I can't read French and that's what I think the site is although I might be able to answer that at a later date...

    Arctic Cooling Accelero X1

Never thought you doubted me, just thought you might like to see it, it's kinda like a shrunk down 9500 that's been cut in half and laid on the GPU core. Hard to explain but if you see it you'll grok what I'm saying.

The new Zalman might not be announced but it was at CES '06 this year. I could find pics of it if you wanted...

    Arctic Cooling Accelero X1

That's one big cooler, are those "stubs" heatpipes? I wonder how the new Zalman will stack up to the AC-X1. It should be interesting to see although it'll be on a totally different card :( How heavy exactly is the X1, BTW?

    Ultra Products X2 550W PSU

Cool, I was a dyed in the wool Antec fan but as far as I'm concerned the X-2 is every bit as good as any Antec and just drop dead sexy. They've got a UV Blue version out now too with windows and an LED fan if you're into that sort of thing. They're coming out with a UV green version soon too.

    Ultra Products X2 550W PSU

Yep, they're pretty easy to fold and route. I ran mine to my 5.25" drives through a gap between the mobo tray and the case supports.

    Ultra Products X2 550W PSU

Yeah, for the price it's a great PSU, no, it's not a PC P&C but then again, nothing else is. Plus it's nearly half the price as a 510 Express SLI and the modular lines are really a beauty.
