Monarch (who was recomended by mat) has quite a number of proc by amd for the am2 slots. I also ended up going with a 4200 amd, a single 7900 gtx, and i found ram about to those specs rob ;-p

my main problem with vista was that it looked like it was going to be like ME... It wont be. Thus my main point is no longer valid, and I might be able to appreciate the OS. Thats about it. I will also note that he seemed very agitated when i mentioned that vista had been rebuild a few...

So I'm building my buddy a rig. He would like it to come in around 2-2.3k pre windows and new comp screen. So far all that "has to be in it" is a DDR2 capable mobo, with a 4400 dual core or better and a 7900 gtx. Any suggestions? (oh and links to newegg appreciated ;-p )

hmm... im curious to know the actual price differance per unit in this case. I think this is a direct move to under price sony later at launch. True they are cheaper now, but a greater gap means ^ sells.
