OS X Leopard Due Out This Month? Canadian iPhone En Route As Well?

The problem is that when you are unlocking your phone, there is a decent chance you will make it a brick. Once you make it a brick, Apple will not help you out or replace it. Plus, this BS with locking it to a single provider is just wrong. For spending $400+ you get the privilege of being...

OS X Leopard Due Out This Month? Canadian iPhone En Route As Well?

I think the only thing so far is the voiding of the warranty for unlocked phones. Plus, the unlocking doesn't always go well and when you kill it you are out your money. I believe Rogers would not allow you to activate it illegally, but if all you need to do is add in your sim card then it...

    Nvidia 9800 Rumors

Nope. That GTX is gonna kick ass and take names for some time to come. I just financed a Dell 2407WFP-HC and my HD2900 XT is lovin it. The world does need new midrange cards since they are all crap for the money right now.

OS X Leopard Due Out This Month? Canadian iPhone En Route As Well?

Too many companies are continuing to rip us off like our dollar was still worth $.60. I sure hope they are not dumb enough to sell it at that price point, but I have a bad feeling it will be much more expensive here.

Überclok Pre-Overclocks Their Machines To The Limit

The sad thing is that the overclocking does little for real world gaming performance and I would expect they are charging a high premium for pre-overclocked machines.

    Nvidia 9800 Rumors

All the latest "news" is that the cards will be a mid level refresh. All the major sites are posting this now. I definitely would not expect a new high end card, just some much better midrange cards.

    Auzentech X-Fi Prelude

Creative's attempt at building a decent X-FI has failed. Auzentech did a much better job. The drivers have worked perfectly for me, even under 64 BIT Vista. It does have digital inputs, not sure why you say it does not. While you have to spend more $$$ to get it, the Auzentech extension...

The State of DirectX 10 - Image Quality & Performance

So far, the Crysis beta is the only game making me happy I jumped. I am using Vista Premium 64 bit upgrade. It is a major pain to successfully install the upgrade version cleanly, but once installed it works fine. Driver support is good too.

Geek Squad Helps Put Child-Porn Trafficker Behind Bars

Kinda like bringing in your car for repair with a bail of weed in the trunk too. If you are stupid enough to let someone perform work on your PC when you know there are bad bad things on it, then you are indeed a moron needing 10 years in prison to figure it out.

Can Your Car Last 930,000 Miles?

Foreign cars can last this long, but no domestic will last this long on the original powertrain. The sad part is that we allow our car makes to build inferior cars and we line up like drones to buy them. I have a 1995 Olds Ciera with 120K miles and it is about to get its' second transmission...

    Cross-Border Computer Shops

Fedex ALWAYS nails me. USPS is the only service that will charge the least. CanadaPost gets a $5 processing fee and the 14% taxes on anything over $20. I agree that sometimes they let it go for stuff up to $50, but usually they don't. You have been incredibly lucky to get expensive stuff...

    Nvidia 9800 Rumors

I think the "built in audi chip" is HDMI sound like the HD2x00's have. Either way, I have major doubt Nvidia even has such a "monster" ready for release. If you ask me, they are just pushing some "misinformation" out to get ATI to show their hand early.

    Cross-Border Computer Shops

Just remember, Canada Customs will make that bargain cost you more than what it costs here before you get it. Almost everything over $20 and over 1lb is taxed and you pay a Customs fee before it gets to you. FEDEX and UPS are the worst since they add on even more fees. Unless you got someone...

Man, another posting based off the inquirer's crap. If you guys believe this one, you deserve the disappointment.

    Your thoughts on Quad Core?

Agreed 110%. I got it because I could at the time, definitely not because I really needed it. I would advise most of the world to wait since there is nothing really using it yet.

    Vista... sucks

I am running Vista. No problems at all. Easy install too. I get a 5.9 Vista Experience score too. You couldn't give me a free Mac to run anything.

How much is too much for a video card?

Came into some money and spent $500 on a video card recently. While I am not usually a fan of spending so much, it is nice to have a high end card for now.

How much hard drive space do you have?

2 X 120GB Seagate SATA 2's in RAID 0 and an 80GB IDE for backups. Stil have 60%+ free in the RAID and about 40GB free on the other drive.
