Gizmodo runs amok with TV-B-Gone at CES

Very clever, very funny and very wrong. I did like that Brian came out yesterday (or the day before perhaps) and explained that he did not mean to get anyone in trouble for the stunt and would resign if it meant that it would spare anyone who might be reprimanded for the failed presentations on...

    Sun Microsystems Acquires MySQL AB

Just the next step in the slow consolidation of all things tech into a handful of large companies. However, the funds that Sun can throw at advancing MySQL has to put a smile on everyone that uses the technology.

    Intel QX9770 Delayed Until Feb/March

Not a bit surprising at all. Not that I was standing in line for one anyway, but still, kind of a bummer for those who were.

Toshiba Slashes HD DVD Player Prices Once Again

I don't know if it can be saved or not but with those prices, people with an interest in getting an HD-DVD player (like myself) would be hard pressed to look at these prices and turn away. I would personally rather have a stand alone drive for my PC at this point as the only high def TV I own...

    FireBox with truefire attempt

Very good look to those flames. I am sure your brother will love it. Good going!

I will be there with bells on this time.

Far Cry 2 in Spring of 2008

Getting back on point, I hope that Crytek can put out a quality game unlike Crysis. It's not that Crysis was bad, on the contrary it was quite good, but the first 2/3 of the game was epic and the last third was a great disappointment. The original Far Cry was too good of a game to screw up so...

Cool "3D" effect with the help of the Wiimote

Stork, I cannot agree with you more on this one. What a great video.

    Lexan Etching?

I have not but Tech-Daddy might have. If not, I would post on his forums over at Austin Modders (I think thats the site) or at Bit-Tech. They have a lot of modders hang out there. Perhaps even HardForum as much as I hate to recommend that site, they have a lot of members who can possibly be...

"It's Time for AMD to Give it Up"

Everyone looks at this from the angle that if AMD closes up shop, Intel will run rampant through the industry but what I haven't heard anyone talk about is what effect it will have on NVIDIA. At least Intel has been releasing a continual stream of hardcore CPUs and chipsets. Granted this has...

Intel to Delay Upcoming 45nm Quad-Cores

Thats kind of a drag for everyone waiting to build a new system, or at least upgrade their CPU, until January. What can you do though?

    The Rig That Rob Built

Getting back on track, thats a nice PC. Looks good and should be plenty powerful for what you need. Kudos!

    Logitech G25 Racing Wheel

Such a long method for a simple fix but if it works, all is good. Did you ever reinstall the actual drivers? Perhaps you might download the latest driver from the Logitech site. The latest driver version was released in October so I almost guarantee that it's a more recent version than the...

    Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated Keyboard

I am personally not a fan of wireless keyboard and have had only bad luck with keyboards of the wireless variety. To be fair though, I haven't used a wireless keyboard in a few years and the technology has clearly advanced since then. If your looking for an "extension", a simple USB extender...

    Dreamcast 2 in the works?

This would be great news but I am leaning towards the idea that it's highly unlikely. The Dreamcast is right up there with the original XBOX and the N64 as my favorite consoles of all time. Oh how I miss thee Dreamcast.

    Crossfire vs Nvidia SLI

Yes and no. I say yes because I was able to get SLI working on the DFI Infinity 775 that we looked at last year but that was with hacked drivers. I wouldn't get a,motherboard, especially one of that price point, under the assumptions that there will be drivers available for you to use. As sad...

    Rob's Red Ring of Rawr

If you can wait the couple of weeks, it's painfully simple. You call them, they try to troubleshoot the problem over the phone by eliminating the hard drive as the point of failure, and when it still doesn't work, and you have stopped pulling your hair out/banging your head against a wall, they...

    JustPC R910

http://www.justpcusa.com/R910.htm Bad journalism or not, I apologize. If you need the technicals, they are: 205(W) x 540(H) x 590(D) Those numbers were stolen directly from the JustPC site. If you don't need the technicals, take a standard Full ATX chassis and add a little more room on...

    Hiper Anubis Mid-Tower

I am pretty sure that there would be significant clearance issues with the power supply as the fan is situated towards the rear of the case.

    Hiper Anubis Mid-Tower

I tell you what though, that would be a VERY nice look if you could mill out the top fins to fit a rad... even a single 120mm radiator would look nice sitting flush with the fins. Although, it would still sit up thanks to the fan so scratch that idea.
