    Fun with the E8400

Intel's new darling, the E8400, has proven quite the capable overclocking CPU. In fact, our fearless leader took his store bought (NOT an Intel direct engineering sample) all the way to 3.8 GHz on stock voltage. Our friends over at Overclockers Anonymous, The LawnRanger specifically, has...

    Almost, but no cigar

Look at the CoD 4 numbers... I wouldn't call it LAME by any stretch. It's perfect for those with more money than they know what to do with.

What resolution and what is your AA set to? I can play Crysis at 1920x1200 quite well without AA enabled with my 8800 GTS 320MB.

    FS: Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L

Not entirely sure so Rob please correct me if I am mistaken but I believe that this board is still available. $20 dollar board people, straight from Canada. Great offer.

Sweet puke or sweet naked men?

Doom3 and F.E.A.R.? Those are the best games that they can throw at a machine that costs damn near 9 large? Laughable.

Portable NES/GB/GBC console... powered by the sun!

Those crazy Chinese... what will they rip off next. Great idea none the less.

    Time to fly nude!

Yeah, we're acting as if this is only going to be used by the beautiful people. There are redoubtably going to be so many "unfavorable" body types that it's truly for those that enjoy the nudist experience and not for people like us (myself included) that would do it for the kicks. I wonder if...

    GeForce 8800 GTS/GTX Cooler Comparison

Seriously, we could have tested any number of coolers. We simply tested what we had in the office. The argument could be made for the Thermaltake cooler, Thermalright, Arctic Cooling... like I said, there are a lot of coolers out there. Sorry for not including more.

Windows 7 Could be Launched in 2011

I am finding it easier to work with Vista the more I use it. I have it installed on one of my notebooks and it's working perfectly fine. In fact, I have written a couple of reviews on the OS without problem. I still find the SLOW file transfers unacceptable but after relearning where...

eBay Sellers Upset at New Rates

I read through their statements (ebay) but I still cant see any reason behind this. I don't sell much at all on ebay but when I do, I hate to pay 5 dollars for a 40 dollar exchange... shitty.

My seagate freeagent can´t be found by the computer.

What do you mean? If you have it hooked up correctly, SATA data and power, all you should have to do is go into your Disk Management console and initialize the disk. Right click on My Computer > manage > Disk Management Find the newly installed internal hard drive in the list, right click on...

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz - Wolfdale Arrives

http://aqm4.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=1712&st=0 This is what some have done with their 8400s. While not recommended for the everyday user, this is phenomenal no matter how you look at it. Good going LawnRanger!

    HighPoint RocketRAID 2310

In all honesty, I cant see any obvious limitations that would prevent you running this card on any motherboard with an open slot. That said, I just lobbed out a question to Hi Point to see if there is anything to their short list of compatible motherboards or if they are just not updating it...

    CoolIT Freezone Elite CPU Cooler

The original used a 92mm fan where as the Elite now uses a 120mm. That gives a bit more airflow which could possibly aid in cooling performance but more than likely it simply keeps the noise level under that of a Boeing. The biggest difference is the cooling capacity. The Elite can dissipate...

TG presence? *Ahem* Will you attempt to completely circumvent the thermal throttling of the motherboard's built in safety effectively trying to toast a then unreleased $1000+ CPU?

ASUS to Roll Out Eee PC with Windows XP in Q1

You hit the nail on the head with the base model dell notebook comment. The appeal of the Eee started when they announced it during the initial OLPC launch hoopla. Everyone wanted a small and affordable notebook and the original Eee delivered on all fronts. With the integration of XP and more...
