    Hilarious BC2 Kill

Thanks :D and he was just like "umm....ok then." lol Oh, don't even bother with Black Ops. What I was playing was Bad Company 2, and it is WAY better than Black Ops could ever hope to be. My favorite thing is how gravity affects bullets. You have to aim higher at longer ranges to get a...

Alright, I need to learn how to OC

alrighty...just used MSI Afterburner and overclocked my 6870 from stock (core: 900mhz, mem: 1050mhz) up to core: 945mhz, mem: 1240mhz. did not miss a beat. the temp of the card didn't even go up 1C! alright, scratch that. Opened up BC2 and went into a sever and the entire computer froze. lol...

    Hilarious BC2 Kill

    Ok...this is...I have no idea

Well there's also a way to make a projection look almost truly 3D using just a water mist. The image is projected onto the water and since all the water particles are in a bunch of different places, the image reflects off these and gives a 3D illusion.

Dual boot from old HDD mounted externally

No problem :) And like I said, it might re-activate with the serial already installed on the HDD. It'll just pop up with a message saying you need to re-activate, you just make sure you're connected to the internet and press OK; you shouldn't need to enter another serial unless yours has been...

Alright, I need to learn how to OC

Well I just tried it. I have a quad-core, so I told it to use 2 cores, and BC2 is VERY cpu-intensive. I told playclaw to record at 60 fps. I must admit, the lag was ever so slightly less than FRAPS, but the output video was worse in terms of FPS. When you watch a video, if FRAPS is open, it will...

Dual boot from old HDD mounted externally

oh...wow I can't believe I forgot about that. Umm..sometimes when there's a major hardware change, Windows will say it needs to re-activate. This might be the case when you boot up with the XP drive, but if you tell it to re-activate it should work (worked 5 times on my OEM license before saying...

Alright, I need to learn how to OC

I tried one of the older versions, but it worked horrid for me. The newest version of FRAPS works just fine, but I don't want to pay $30 for PlayClaw just to find out it doesn't work right for me...lol. *EDIT* WOAH!! Just noticed this! They have a link on PlayClaw's website to Rob's review of...

Alright, I need to learn how to OC

Actually I don't agree with you on not being CPU bound...FRAPS is processor-intensive, so a faster processor can handle better fps when recording right? If I drop the resolution to 1280 x 720, I get around 70-80 fps when recording as opposed to 40-50 at 1440 x 900.

Dual boot from old HDD mounted externally

You shouldn't have to change the bios since your computer is new, just a selection within it. All you need to do once it's hooked up is turn on your computer, and hold the key to enter setup. usually it's the delete key, but it can vary depending on the bios. When you start your computer up...

Dual boot from old HDD mounted externally

That would be possible if the BIOS in your new computer supports USB boot (which it should). All you'd have to do is buy the external enclosure for the old HDD and plug it up. Then go into your BIOS and go to select boot device and select "USB Removable Drive" or something to that extent. I did...

Alright, I need to learn how to OC

well someone in my programming class has the same exact processor I have, but he's got a HAF case, with the Hyper 212+ CPU cooler. he says his processor idles at 24C O_o

Alright, I need to learn how to OC

The only time I have ever had it max out is when I'm running Bad Company 2 at max settings while recording with FRAPS at 1440 x 900. Even then it has never gone above 55C That better? :p and yes I had a HELL of a lot of fun putting it all together. I can barely get my hand around the 6870 to...
