Speedlink Medusa 5.1 and Sennheiser HD555

From what I understood about their warranty program, the headphone manufacturer is a company in the UK, meaning that they might have sold a distributorship for North America or something. That's my best guess on the price disparity. It looks like Medusa is selling the Home Edition for £50.95...

Speedlink Medusa 5.1 and Sennheiser HD555

I'd like to know what the flaw is, if you could elaborate. For this response, I'm assuming that you're talking about the Medusas. This is not the conclusion I've come to, so I don't know why you say that your conclusions were the same as mine. If you're using a stereo headphone amp, then you're...

Speedlink Medusa 5.1 and Sennheiser HD555

Cheapest amp = $200 = audiophile. I'm sure those amps are great, but considering that both headsets in the review cost $150 or less, assuming that people will spring for a $200 amp is stretching it a little, I think, especially considering how great the HD555s sound without an amp. From a...

Silver = win. They'd be stupid not to let you upgrade, if it turns out that you want to.

    Mobile gaming preferences

I own a PSP, but I'm not up to speed on the game Library. I own GTA:Liberty City Stories and can say that it's great, and I've heard that the Tekken game is freaking awesome, but most of the games I play on the PSP are SNES games being run on SNES TTYL. It's like having all the awesome games I...

Speedlink Medusa 5.1 and Sennheiser HD555

I hope that people in the market will find this review useful. One thing I forgot to note was that CMSS 3D was always enabled in the Creative Audio Console during testing.

And so I get satellite internet...

/me is glad to have cable service. My only observation is the obvious: For $10 more per month (14% more than $69.95) you get 50% more download bandwidth, 25% more upload bandwidth and 100% more hosting space. Seems like the Platinum plan is the best value if you use the speed, since you're...

    Reproted Illegal Tatics

Yet the Opterons kicked the crap out of Northwood, and all AMD got was a few more points of market share. If they'd been able to keep the good designs coming, they wouldn't have lost their momentum and be stuck in their current state, but it's going to take more than better performance for AMD...

    Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard

You could always spend $100 on a Tarantula. Oh wait, that doesn't have usb2.0 either. Maybe the Reclusa...nope, not that one. I'll agree that USB2.0 would be nice, but considering that no other board has them either, I can't really complain.

    Selecting a Power Supply

That's great and all, but I can't find a review of the ST1000. The largest and most recent Strider series review I can find is the ST850 at Jonnyguru. The review isn't exactly stellar. IIRC, Decathlon = Modularized Olympia, but I think the Striders are another beast.

Anybody else try to get 3 years out of their computer?

Heh, that depends on who you buy the case from. The guy I purchased the TJ07 from included two radiators and two pumps with it, but in general, you just get the case unless you order from a specialty shop (and thus pay extra for components and assembly).

My current rig has been complete since January. I can't wait to upgrade in September.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Performance Preview

Your point is a good one. Anandtech was happy with 3.68ghz with stock everything, Hothardware and PCper got to 3.9, and the Tech Report 'only' managed about 3.6. Certainly nothing to sniff at. However, while I definitely agree that the quad-cores will be harder to overclock to ~4ghz...

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Performance Preview

Bah. I'm much more of an overclocking enthusiast than that, and would point out that when Anandtech first looked at Intel's new P35 chipset, they noted that simply setting the FSB to 1333 resulted in a no-hassle overclock to 3.0Ghz on the Q6600. Come July 22, that could be a quad-core 3.0ghz...

Buying new pc, opinions would be nice.

Well, as far as the memory goes, with the way prices are currently, you should easily be able to get 2gb for under $150CAD. Check mWave, it looks like they have some nice OCZ RAM. As for the mouse, considering what you'd pay even for the standard MS mouse, I'd emphatically recommend the ~$35...

Buying new pc, opinions would be nice.

I know that the cold-booting isn't an issue with everyone. The firmware issue applied to everyone though - it could only be updated in 32bit. I can't say much more than that with any authority. For XP, the 64bit version is great. There are no driver issues, and everything works like it...

I'm looking forward to playing whack-a-mole on that thing with reckless abandon. Also, a coffee table like that might mean that we can get rid of the fiance's stupid center pieces that are always in the way.

Buying new pc, opinions would be nice.

I mean that the mouse was unresponsive upon boot-up, and I had to unplug/re-plug the mouse to get it to work. I had the same issue with the Copperhead. On occasion, you can press the reboot button on the mouse instead of unplugging it. It's very very annoying. Plus, you can only update the...
