    Who's watching the World Cup?

Oh man, North Korea came so close to beating Brazil, if snipers hadn't shot Jong Tae-Se in the thigh, and capitalist running dogs stunned their goalkeeper with a satellite mind ray... At least that's how the Supreme Leader will tell it. :D

The Booth Babes of Computex 2010

At least nVIDIA has a sense of humour about it, those aren't ping pong paddles the model is holding, those are FANS!

    Who's watching the World Cup?

That game was worth watching, New Zealand ties in the 93rd minute. Gotta love the underdog... Go North Korea! :D

Vuvuzela... there's an app for that?!

Don't go to Québec's Winter Carnival, they've had them there (trompette de carnaval - also an app!) for way longer than South Africa.

    Who's watching the World Cup?

Difficult not to get caught up in WC fever. Watching the CBC NZL-SVK stream right now, a blessing really since I don't have a T.V. (and sports bars generally aren't serving at 7:30 A.M.:) As dominant as Germany started, I still like what I saw from The Netherlands, they're my team this time...

EVGA Shows Off Drool-Worthy SR-2 Enthusiast PC

I forgot about the 9 PCI slots, that IS a tough mod, maybe why there's a monitor strategically placed to hide the hatchet marks, haha. (Incidentally on one of those shots it says GTX 480 right on the monitor...:D They look smaller because the mobo is a soccer field.) I'm also curious about...

EVGA Shows Off Drool-Worthy SR-2 Enthusiast PC

Doesn't the HAF-X have a black interior as well? I'm going to guess they modded an ATCS 840.

    Computex 2010

That view's worth at least $9.85 of that dessert. :D Thanks for the updates, especially the less serious pics, those are the ones that make the whole experience come alive. Next best thing to being there!

    Computex 2010

Strong early entry in the Computex Challenge, I see 4 booth babes plus one civilian in that pic! Make sure you always have your camera ready, there's always bonus points for multiples and you never know when you'll catch a Silverstone girl kissing a Lian Li girl, which is pretty much instant win.

BFG Tech to Cease Production of its Graphics Cards

Wow. Quite the bombshell for the consumer, this is a company that made some great product. Even in a pile of older video cards, the BFG one was more often than not "the one that still works". Too bad.

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

Agree absolutely, but I can understand why everyone's scared of MS. They're really powerful. That's why my stance is that asking "Why can't they bundle a Zune with their OS if they want?" or making an analogy to a convenience store with ads for another convenience store is disingenuous.

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

So what changed isn't that MS no longer controls 100% of PCs, but that they're making inroads on Macs?

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

Kinda my point. Since when did Linux users start thinking PC games ran on Linux?

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

Here's another bit of fact: (Can you tell this got me riled up? :) Remember back when games had "For PC" on the box rather than "For Windows"? Why should game manufacturers be forced to advertise for Microsoft? Same play here, do it our way, or we'll force you out because we can. Microsoft...

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

I agree with this except the situation is not as you're describing at all. It's not walking into 7-11 and seeing a Mac's Milk sign, it's living in 7-11 country and not being able to find a competitor.

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

I think courts here have already ruled that bundling IE with Windows was monopolistic and illegal back in the Netscape days. Why can't they include their own browser as default? Sounds simple on the surface, and perfectly legitimate if they kept it to that. But they never have. An...
