    Help with a 3TB drive

I had the same model of Hitachi 3TB drive connected to this machine when it died and I didn't run into these issues. The board itself handled it fine.

    Help with a 3TB drive

Yes. It treats the 746GB part and the other part as completely seperate. I have read that the 746GB part is one platter and is treated as it's own drive. I might RMA the RMA'd drive :)

    Help with a 3TB drive

I tried this. Unfortunately (and I know I misspoke in my initial post), the 746GB partition isnt formatted and cannot be initialized. I cannot select it from the command line because diskpart cannot see it. Sorry for the confusion.

    Help with a 3TB drive

Hey folks, I'm looking for some help on getting a 3TB drive that I recently got back from RMA to work. Windows only sees one 746GB partition and another partition containing the remainder of the space. I cannot delete the 746 partition in either Windows of Linux and am kind of at wits end...

Internet Explorer Usage Falls Below 50% for First Time in Decade

I'm still very happy with Firefox. I haven't cared much for Chrome and Opera might as well not exist to me. IE serves it purpose however. It does let me download Firefox on a fresh install. :)

What Caused the Death of Microsoft's Courier?

The idea sounded amazing. It's too bad it didn't come to market. I would hope Microsoft knew something that others didn't and that's why they killed it. Regardless, it was an awesome concept.

Greg's software pick of the day

TreeSize Free http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/ This program breaks down disk space usage on a directory level, letting you get figure out what is consuming all of your space. It's helped me many times find large files buried deep in randomly used directories.

Ikonik Ra2000 Liquid Full-Tower Chassis Review

    1. My preference is that I would like both radiators to pull in cooler air from outside the case instead of just one. There are more than enough other fans in the case to deal with the buildup of warmer air. The 140mm top mounted fan and the 120mm rear exhaust fan should be able to keep the...

Apple Rumored to be Considering Pulling the Plug on its Mac Pro Line

The end of the Mac Pro would sever the last bit of connection Apple has with NeXT. At least to me it would be. These were the work horses of the Macintosh lineup. Horribly overpriced but whatever. That's a trend at Cupertino.

    ZipZoomFly is no more

How upsetting. I built my first computer with parts purchased from ZZF. I used to use a site called Pricewatch.com to get the best deals and more often than not, it linked me to ZZF. I have since used Newegg for EVERYTHING but this news still makes me sad. I miss my Soyo motherboard.

Samsung Hoping to Sell Phones with Flexible Screens in 2012

Rob, how many CESs have we seen these types of displays? The technology is there, I just hope it's cost effective enough to make its way into consumer devices soon. Though I am at a loss as to how these would be more practical than the standard screens we have on our phones now.

The loss of a Visionary: Steve Jobs Passes

Of course thousands of people die every day. What's the point? Someone's parents could pass away and some asshole will be somewhere to make the same comment you have made. I politely disagree with you about Steve Jobs being a visionary. Love or hate their movies, Pixar created the computer...
