ASUS Announces Splendid HD1 "Video Enhance Card"

I would think with larger sized LCD these might bring a lot of extra pic quality. But I would think that you'd need a high-end LCD to take full advantage of the feature set as well.

ASUS EAH3850 Trinity - three GPUs with one card

I really don't see it costing near as much as a GX2, but I might be wrong. The stock water cooling is going to add to the overall cost, that's a given. And they also don't mention what size or type of memory is on the card, but by looking at the pics and heatsinks, its either 3 x 256 or 3 x...

    Advice requested.......

Sounds great, my old WD (the one causing troubles) seems to take its sweet time writing, so there may be more issues with it than I'm aware of. Replacing the drive just might improve the overall performance for my system.......;)

    Advice requested.......

Quick question out there for all the HD experts.....;) Has any of you used the 7200.11 ES series of Seagate HD, I'm wanting a 250gb drive with the 32mb cache and it seems that the only drive Seagate makes with that amount of cache and storage size is their ES series which is Seagates server...

ASUS EAH3850 Trinity - three GPUs with one card

Yup, I thought so..........;) And seeing as it uses 3850 cores, it really should be that expensive and the performance should be right up there as well.

ASUS EAH3850 Trinity - three GPUs with one card

This thing might be a single card solution for those of you looking to up your performance a little................;) I'd give one of these a run if I could............. The water cooling quality is a bit questionable though, sort of looks like a TT unit, but easy enough to connect to my...

Seagate CEO Unimpressed With SSDs for Notebooks

Backing up is something that you should do regardless of the media type you're using. SSD's can also dump your data without warning, just like a USB flash drive can, and I've had more than one of those go bad over time.

Windows XP to Die Off at 'Some Point'

It will die at some point, but at the rate that Vista problems are going, I'm willing to bet that MS is going to extend XP's life cycle again, at least till the release of their next OS release. OH, and my first PC OS was good ole plain DOS 3.1 (I think that was the version), Windows was a few...

    The Multi-GPU Conundrum

I'm sticking to the single card solution for the time being (money issues don't you know), but anyway, single card just seems to be the more stable platform as of right now.

Picking out a 30-inch monitor is truly a chore!

Most of the folks I know are talking the middle field as well, right now they are looking at the 26"-28" range. For right now I'm still content with 24", but I'm sure that's going to change if I ever get the chance to play on a 28" - 30" for any length of time.
