Zalman RESERATOR 1 V2 parts needed

Just use distilled water and a few drops of any algaecide, that usually yields the best results. You'd probably have good luck finding the parts off ebay from used sets since those have been on the market for a few years.

Was HP's dv2 Worth the Wait?

Let the crashing (or is that cursing?) commence! I don't envy you one bit. ;)

    Microsoft Makes Zune HD Official

I'm waiting to see the specs, features, and pricing on this one. HD tuning is a big plus... but does it allow recording of the stations?

    Mini-itx Barebone systems....

Actually, no. The very first HD-DVD players used Intel Northwood processors to keep prices lower, Toshiba was using them for quite awhile at that although they migrated to Mobile Pentiun 4 Northwoods later on, then I'm no longer sure but I think they finally did do away with them. Hm, after...

    Mini-itx Barebone systems....

Well, that's just it. Nvidia's (And AMD's latest) IGPs are actually half decent IGPs and offer gaming capability at low resolutions. If the IGP sharing the system memory is a concern, then the user would be better off with a low profile, discrete GPU that'd be much better than any IGP could hope...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Jeez... talk about the monster rig from hell. Spending that much on cooling, you almost might as well look at a phase changer or some kind of mach setup? I might just suggest leaving the system at stock or a light overclock... stock settings would certainly help drop temps on the power circuitry...

    Mini-itx Barebone systems....

Well sure, that'd work wonders for temps! The only obvious issue is the average watercooling setup uses a ton of water... The MCP655 can top out at 317GPH (Gallons per hour), so I assume your friend doesn't have to pay the water bill! There's some site dedicated to a person that did some...

In which Greg gets a "green" HDD

Hm, maybe I'm misunderstanding here. It doesn't matter if you watercool a PC or air cool it, the computer will produce the exact same amount of heat and this heat is transferred into the air in the room. Before I get nitpicked apart, to be technically correct the extra fans and waterpump...

ATI All in Wonder HD Cable Card

Mcards allow two way signaling, and the user will receive access to everything they would on a cable box then?? I thought the only difference was an Mcard allowed multiple station reception/recording, whereas Scards were just a single channel at a time? Either way it's good info to know.

    Common Reasons People Leave Linux

Rob, at least US-side it depends on who wired your house, more often than not. The typical US home will have one large room or two small rooms on one line to the circuit box. Wiring code have changed numerous times, however, so plenty of homes built before the changes use old code wiring...

ATI All in Wonder HD Cable Card

Interesting, I hadn't heard nor seen anything about this one. It is exactly the same as the external box I linked to above but they made it internal based. Still no Video on Demand or ability to send information back to their servers though. It would still suffer the problems Anand ran into in...

    HAF mod Water Cooling

Sure, but that uses electricity and puts a higher load on your watercooling system as it must also cool 100% of the power consumed by the TEC. So you would need a TEC on everything, else you would be cooling one component at the expense of heating up the rest. Honestly I won't go with...

    Common Reasons People Leave Linux

As Glider said it doesn't matter what size the PSU's are. They won't affect overall system power consumption beyond raising/lowering efficiency numbers. Therefore it's something with the circuit they are plugged into... since Merlin stated there are other devices plugged into the same circuit...

    Mini-itx Barebone systems....

As far as #4 goes, don't expect much with integrated sound or integrated graphics capabilities. Don't use anything with an Intel IGP at all, either... most Intel IGP solutions still can't offload HD content and most processors would be in trouble without GPU offloading. The older (ie cheaper)...

Why You'll Never See a 200Mbps Internet Connection

Yes, but that is exactly why many put caps on all of their transfers (such as the steam network), so one user can't sap a disproportional percentage of a server's enormous bandwidth. Doesn't really matter, either way the customer is paying for a fast bandwidth connection they can't fully utilize...

    TV sets falling on kids...

Except when the stands themselves collapse... I've been hearing about that for awhile as well. Some consumers bought the cheaper stands that weren't rated for the size screen of the LCD/plasma TV they put ontop of it... and a random bump by someone (or just time) was all it took before they...

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Your PSU isn't shot, what sounds like is that the overcurrent, short-circuit protection, or something else is tripping and the PSU is shutting down. My 750W Quad Silencer did this when the motherboard powercycled oddly and the telltale giveaway it is the PSU is because the safety "fuse" doesn't...

Futuremark Announces "Lords of Overclocking" Event

I was going to try this just for a laugh and because I wanted to compare my 3DMark06 score to that of my old Q6600 + 320mb 8800GTS system, because obviously no one with a single GPU is going to win this. Then I discovered 3DMark06 has some severe issues running on 64bit OS's... I can't even...

    Supermicro Launches Intel Atom-based Servers

I'm still not convinced this Atom server is not more than a nich market yet... email overhead is generally very minor and wouldn't cause problems on dedicated business servers unless this was some huge organization, email hosting hub, or they simply were already fully loading their servers for...
