    Motherboard upgrade!!??

I've never had any luck with ASRock, but I've never used a Biostar board either. It looks like both companies have stepped up its game in order to keep up with the big players, but they still fall short between ASUS, GIGABYTE and MSI. If you can scrounge up the extra dough for one of these...

Universal Orlando opens up a Simpsons haven

We're hitting Florida in 2 years to take Ben to Disney, so who knows? Maybe I'll stop in for a Krusty Burger.

Who's planning to upgrade to Haswell?

It was hard enough to step up to Ivy Bridge, which wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for a super cool Editor In Chief. It's a no for me. Haswell that ends well. Sorry. I've got nothin'.

How to Apply Thermal Paste the Kentucky Way

Nice find! It was good for a chuckle. Does it make me weird that the first thing that made me laugh was the aBIT board?

Anyone have ointment for this burn?

The other thing that I find funny is that "Bus Crash" Spears pipes up and says she's uncomfortable with this guy looking at her. I think the old adage about wild animals being more afraid of you than you are of them fits pretty well for the contestant here 'cause I'm sure he's thinking the same...

A motherboard that slows the boot down over time?

Woah...yup, nothing you can do about that, but doesn't that board have dual BIOS? Can you flip to the other one and test?

A motherboard that slows the boot down over time?

Did you try all of the SATA ports? My H55 GIGABYTE board took forever to boot if I ran too many devices off of one controller. EDIT: Ha! I just re-read the last paragraph of your post.

Any rally fans in the house?

I @#$%*&! love rally racing. It's so far removed from everything else out there, but I'm with Rob - those spectators are nucking futs! Some of those wrecks are insane!

It's World Backup Day - Backup Your Shit!

Yeah, it's the launcher that Steam recognizes, not the actual game...or maybe I have a problem. *twitch, twitch*

It's World Backup Day - Backup Your Shit!

I had to do a restore from a backup the previous day because latest AMD driver messes with Lord of The Rings Online. No matter what I did, even removing it and using Driver Cleaner wouldn't do the trick, but rolling back to an earlier back up did. 280GB of space might be used up by backups...

My first 5 seconds with Windows Server 2012

Sucks balls for remote admins such as myself. If my company wants to set me up with a touch capable lappy, then I'm cool with that. :)

My first 5 seconds with Windows Server 2012

Sadly I'm studying for the first MCSA exam for 2012 because the certification for 2008 is going by the wayside come June. I'm already shuddering at the thought of having to deal with a Windows 8-like interface.

    Happy Early St. Patty's Day!

Looky what I stumbled upon? Sorry for the shitty pictures. Usually I use my normal camera instead of my phone since it takes less shitty pictures. Anyway, so far I don't hate it. It certainly tastes (and smells) stout-ish. The more I drink, the more I like. It's not as good as the...

Because soda is the best thing in the morning...

What are we talking about here? A quasi-energy drink with some added caffeine or just a sugar filled juice version of the original MD? I'll stick with good ol' java in the morning and some NOS if I'm gaming.

    Super Bowl!

The only super bowl that I'm excited about is the one that comes an hour or so after eating the all you can eat burrito night. At least there's booze at the parties.

    RFC 2324 HTCPC Protocol

Coffee pots heat water using electronic mechanisms, so there is no fire. Thus, no firewalls are necessary, and firewall control policy is irrelevant. That stuff is gold!!!
