I personally wouldn't touch anything lower than a 5750/6750. A 6770 being a 5770 rebrand means it can OC far past the Overdrive limit, try afterburner w/ unofficial OC enabled. My 5750 was killer 950 core on stock cooler, I am sure on water it would have hit 1 ghz.
