Corsair Enters the Keyboard and Mouse Market

Also worth mentioning - full aluminum bodies on everything and both keyboards make use of the silent variety mechanical switches - definitely interested.

Revamped Ribbon-based File Manager Coming to Windows 8

Remember, Windows 8 is for tablets too... so the ribbon makes sense for the venerable sausage-fest that'll be playing around with the screen... double tapping... touch interface... Too crude? :p I'm kind of glad about some of the changes, but without actually using it, I can't pass judgment...

    Google Chrome and downloads

It may sound cliche, but try using a torrent instead. Torrents allow for checksums on a per chunk basis, as well as resume and such, plus you're not putting a strain on their servers (depending). The checksum is vital, since you are dealing with a bootable OS ISO image, you can run an MD5 check...

GameStop Removing OnLive Coupons Deus Ex: HR Boxes

Removing an item that was originally packaged with the product, as well as factored into the original sale price, is known as Stealing these days. This being an anti-steam and anti-competitive action is just silly. Every time someone buys a console game, GameStop are selling a competitive...

NZXT's Sentry Mix 6 Fan Controller Brings Sliders, 50W Channels

Ok, this has my interest for a change. Dials are all well and good, but i do love a slider**, just feels easier to control (you know where it is without looking too). But 50 watts per channel... that's huge, daisy chain fans for 350 Watts... that's a little over the top. The good thing though...

Windows 8 Could Require Internet Access for Continued Use

Microsoft and online services... just look at MSN and Games For Windows Live, that'll give us a good indicator as to how well perpetual connections will handle under MS control.

Crysis 2 DX11: Where Tessellation Becomes Overkill

After Witcher 2 came out and showed people what could be done with DX9... these measly attempts with DX11 are not exactly inspiring. Admittedly, Witcher 2 was built purely on DX9 and for consoles too, no distribution of labor problems. A game needs to be made with DX11 only to show the real...

    Im buying an SSD.,,, Halp!

Have to agree with Optix, 'Feedback' is more 'Rantback' than anything. More often than not, it's user error, neglecting the whole RTFM philosophy. People are more inclined to leave negative feedback than positive. There are exceptions of course. SSDs are still a new technology, a rapidly...

Enermax Aurora Lite Ultra-Thin Keyboard Review

Yeah, the introduction of the smaller left-side modifier keys had puzzled me for a while, but these days, I find it hard to go back to the full size set. This is partly as a result of using, for lack of a better term, a screwed up design in the form of a speedlink keyboard. It' was not like...

Intel Will Not Include CPU Coolers with Sandy Bridge-E Models

I don't think half-wits will be spending $999 on a CPU for a system they are custom building themselves... yes, that was rhetorical... Intel has been selling OEM CPUs for a while without coolers, I can get them here, but you only save about £5 on the purchase, might as well go retail, get the...

    Having trouble counting to 100,000?

That has to be one of the longest 'beer on a wall' songs ever... For his next trick, reciting the first 1,000 prime numbers... Also, the reason i'm terrible at maths is because of New Math... I'll let Tom Lehrer explain... http://youtu.be/Vetg7vWitTU Yes, that's how they teach kids these...

GIGABYTE Announces Native PCIe 3.0 Support On Current 6-Series Motherboards

We're a few days late getting this bit of information posted but it may prove no less exciting for owners of current GIGABYTE 6-series motherboards. The company has announced that Intel's upcoming 22nm Ivy Bridge CPUs expected in the first quarter of 2012 will be a direct drop in upgrade for...

USB 3.0 Could Support 100W Devices In Near-Future

My standard KB is 100mA, the other is 500mA, and my mouse is 100mA... Sure, these are maximums, but peripherals suck in a lot of power already. The other thing to bare in mind was 'Variable Voltage' too, so we're not talking flat 5V here, but probably between 1.5V and 12V. The other thing...

The Curse of the 100°C CPU

A friend of mine went through 3 different PC builds with a high CPU temp, different CPUs, power supply and heatsinks each time. When i finally got him to install some decent temp monitoring, i was alarmed that he had been using the same GPU in each build, a 3000 series AMD GPU that was idling at...

    I Ascared! Thermaltake Frio GT

8x Deltas with no fan controller... you know... because... ;) lol It'll still be +5C > room temp at idle, +25-30C at load. Put a side panel on with an internal venting GPU and any temp gains would be gone.

    I Ascared! Thermaltake Frio GT

That's... silly, lol. Go water cooling, seriously, would need low height RAM, large case, the noise would be silly with the vibration. Typical Tt fans last about 6 months too (sleeve bearings). That cooler is just pure epeen.

    Replacement case parts...

Just found the link i was after, looked through TechDaddy's mod thread, he mentioned Performance-PCs, they have a DIY section and a case modding and replacement parts section, have a gander through that. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=130
