You make a great point about past failures, and I can understand improving the OS... but they didn't really do anything to it. No filesystem access or multitasking both really kill it. You're right though, the success is up to the end user, and sadly, end users love gimmicks (Nintendo Wii!) :)...
I don't understand why ANY review sites are giving this thing praise. It's a 10 inch ipod touch with the same locked down operating system.
If it ran OSX, I would go out and buy one on launch, but this is a pretty useless "tablet" to me.
Hmmm..
I'm still undecided on these, I was looking at both this and the Corsair H50 earlier tonight (I think I'd go with the ECO) but I still can't decide if it's worth jumping from the TRU120 to this. I think it'd be more of a "hurr hurr water cooling is nifty" thing than a noticeable...
Strange, I'm able to change channels without issue. I'm runnin build 7068(64bit), not 7000.
And the wallpaper I use is called "Homeworld", and it's one of the user submitted wallpapers off of Interfacelift.com, awesome site for wallpaper.
D2X drivers were released in March.
Edit; sorry for making two posts that had the same general subject.

I can now confirm that the X64 version of the driver (8.17.64, AKA 6.12.1764) works perfectly with Windows 7 X64 (Build 7068).
Volume control returned, no major issues (setup may give you an error but Win7 will recommend you run it in Vista compatibility mode and then it will work fine)...
Must be nice. I pay 55/mo for phone and 1.5mbit... Aliant/Bell doesn't much give a shit about how fast you're getting as long as you've got access. 5mbit at the bottom of my street for 60/mo.
Won't be up my way for a few years.
