I had hope in the Americans. At least they managed to squeeze out a tie.

Well, Italy kicked Germanies ass in the last three minutes of the game.

And so it ends. Italy won the world cup, but I guess I am -ok- with it. France had a very skeptical performance.. it seemed doomed from the beginning really.

Penalty shootouts are one of the most foolish ways to win a game. It's too bad the World Cup had to end that way.

What little I saw only reminded me the the sport/sportsmanship has been blown out of the game by overpaid prima donna athletes.
As far as I could tell everybody lost.
