In case you haven't noticed, the iPhone and other App Store-compatible devices from Apple are hugely successful, and chances are at least one or two people you know own one, if not yourself. The credited reason for the mass success hasn't been the hardware itself (although it is good), but rather the App Store, because it allows people to do a billion different things with their phone.
