Thortech, a company that has been in the industry for 15 years but few may have heard of, announced the launch of their new Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt Plus series power supplies. Each carries an 80Plus Gold certification meaning increased efficiency, modular connections, a 135mm fan, support for Crossfire and SLI configurations, solid state capacitors, multiple methods of protection and a five year warranty. The Thunderbolt series features quad +12 volt rails, while the Thunderbolt Plus features a single +12 volt rail with increased amperage. Both models come in 800, 1,000 and 1,200 watt flavours.
