I admit... I hate my current cell phone, but I can honestly say I'm glad that it's never attempted to kill me. In China, that's exactly what happened to one man. He put in a freshly charged battery and put the phone in his shirt. It exploded, and he sadly died. Whether or not the battery was counterfeit, we don't know, but I'm going to jump to conclusions and say there might be a good chance it was.

Would certainly be simpler than rigging cars to explode, or feeding people radioactive isotopes...
