There's a hilarious thread going on over at the official Steam forums created by someone who for some reason decided to open up the Max Payne 2 main executable in a regular text editor. What he saw was surprising... the name of a cracker group in ASCII, "Myth". Apparently, back when Max Payne 2 first launched, Myth created a crack to get rid of all forms of DRM. With Max Payne 2 for Steam, it seems someone at Rockstar found that it was easier to use the already-available crack rather than to remove the copy protection properly.

It's highly unlikely that Rockstar meant for this to happen, but it's humorous nonetheless.
Oh and for the record, Max Payne 2 is one of the best PC games... ever
