Whenever a seriously hyped MMO first hits the market, there's one thing we can always count on: updated graphics drivers. That's especially true when the game happens to be Funcom's The Secret World, which NVIDIA has been happily promoting leading up to its launch. NVIDIA's support this time around is a little more interesting, though, as The Secret World is the first game to add support for the company's brand-new anti-aliasing technology, TXAA. This did not fix my problem with Civ5 and it crashing with Multi-Monitor resolutions, it did not cause a problem with the mouse in Sins like the previous Beta drivers did. Time to contact Firaxis about this crap. )c: EDIT: Here is a link if anyone is having trouble themselves. http://forums.2kgames.com/showthrea...or-Resolutions-Crashing&p=1611280#post1611280
The driver fixed the other Civ issue where the game would crash on start-up (an issue just introduced to the last beta). I had doubts that MM would be fixed with the driver, and it's unfortunate. Since you don't have G&K installed yet, maybe you can do me a favor. Set the game to run "-benchmark units" at start, without quotes, and see if it works. For me, it doesn't any longer, which sucks because I used it as a benchmark.
