Native NVIDIA SLI Support Coming to AMD Platforms

The moment <strike>all of you</strike> <strike>all AMD fans</strike> some AMD fans have been waiting for has finally arrived: native SLI support on AMD platforms. Similar to the SLI transition that occurred on Intel platforms in 2008, the native likeness of AMD's SLi support means that no special nForce chips will be required for SLI to function. All that will be needed is an AMD-based motherboard using the 990FX, 990X or 970 chipset.

This comes down to good business on NVIDIA's part. Fortunately gamers win.

Yup, that's just it. I find it a little disheartening that NVIDIA worded it, "You Asked for It, You Got It: SLI for AMD". No one is going to believe a word of that. If NVIDIA truly cared, this would have happened long ago.

It's still a great thing to happen, but things like that bug me.

Nice, not that it matters since I can run SLI just fine on my 790X board. I know it works and I can tell when its not. (Major FPS drop lol)
