mp4 not getting a drive letter

The first time I plugged in my mp4 audio device my computer picked it up and ask me if I wanted to open in folder view. I was then able to drag and drop music to it. I noticed it also assigned a drive letter. My problem is I plug it in now and no drive letter or anything different happens except the mp4 screen has a little picture of zzzzzzzzbetween device and computer and shows it charging.
Any Ideas how to put music on it. My os is Windows professional

If your MP4 player has a screen, check to see if PTP is enabled, if it is, disable it. If it doesn't have such a feature, then double-clicking the device under My Computer -should- open it up like a normal folder.
