Do you wish your keyboard set had High Definition Technology? Well, you may just be in luck! The Laser Desktop 6000 includes a feature packed keyboard and laser mouse with 1000DPI for great precision. Let's take a look at see if this desktop set is all it's cracked up to be.

Discuss the review here! Seriously. I will harm you if you don't.

There's definitely a market for the product, it's just that gamer's aren't it.

Like you mentioned, that seems like something a photo editor would love, or even one who types a lot. The ergonomic design is easier on the hands, physically. The dpi in the mouse is another good thing that would benifit a digital artist. I think you were fair with the review. It's just not the type of thing I'd expect at a largely gaming, or performance, oriented group.

The sad thing is that if the mouse featured a detent on the scrollwheel it would be great for gaming. The tracking is fast, smooth and precise and I did game with it but the scrollwheel cripples it because you can't sort through weapons with any accuracy.

The keyboard would be okay if it just wasn't so clunky. It doesn't make sense to make it a semi ergonomic design and then put the keys at an un-natural angle. Maybe Microsoft will revamp the keyboard with a lower profile in the future and make it a better match for the mouse. Sleek, functional and easy to use.

Yes, the tracking is faster, the response time is faster and the resolution varies from somewhat highter (my MX 700 had 800DPI resolution compared to this one with 1000DPI) to insanely higher.

i have always love logitch's keyboard and mouse. i have to say that I really enjoy logitech's forward and backward key on their mouse. I wish that MS and all other mouse will come with these keys.

The 6000 Laser has a forward button and the Zoom button is mapable to backward so it has that feature now.

Rob,
I didn't see what range the Microsoft 6000 keyboard and mouse had. Do you have that?
Thanks,
Scot
