Maxtor Storage III

Hi,
I got Maxtor 1TB network storage which I cannot access in win7. I took it a part and ended up with two 500GB discs. I bought SATA docking station but my system does not see discs at all. There was probably RAID to treat that two discs as a one. What should I do to access that discs?

Hey Robertxon. You've probably already found out by now, but if the network drive was configured in RAID then there isn't anything you can do to recover the data directly. If the data is extremely important you could buy a second enclosure, substitute the drives, and pray that it would work but that's a long shot by far.

Otherwise, if the drives still work you can reformat them and continue to use them with your docking station. But without an identical model RAID controller, then as far as I know recovery of the RAID array is possible.
