Download Seatools and do a full fresh clean format of the drive in DOS. Then Vista should see it fine. If Vista can not be made to see it it is defective. Vista is great for recognizing drives while setting up, far superior to XP.

Thanks for the info b1lk1. I guess I have to find a floppy drive and try that the seatools disk that came with the drive don't work either.
