Do Some Video Games Push the Violence Bar too Far?

Are video games becoming too violent? It's a question that the mainstream media loves to ask on a regular basis, with Bulletstorm most notably being in the hot seat recently. Personally, I don't mind violence in video games, and nor do I believe that video games inspire people to kill in real-life. But despite all this, is there a point when video games may truly be too violent?

This is no worse than what one would see in the newest Saw movie. It comes down to the maturity of the player, if of legal age, or the parents taking an active role in what their children are allowed to play. This gets a big ol' whoopty doo.

Besides, give it a year and another game will come along that the media can blame for the downfall of modern society.
