We've talked quite a bit in the past about overpriced cables that are just needless. Most often, a $100 cable will work just as well as a $3 one, quite literally, yet many people with padded pockets continue to get suckered in. There are of course certain scenarios where a more expensive cable might be required, but that's often related to the distance between the TV and a receiver - a problem most people don't have.

What I find humorous is that these cables come in a variety of colors - as if people look behind their TVs all the time to take a gander at their cables.

Thats awesome lol.

Bottom line if the cable meets the HDMI spec its advertised or used for the image will be 100% the same as it would otherwise. Welcome to digital transmission. It either works, sorta works, or doesn't work at all. Not much in between, guess you can thank the analog era for the new found dumbness. As said the only complications come in at extreme length.
