Conroe vs. FX-62

Toms took a look at a 'pre-configured' Intel rig, which blew away the FX-62. Not that it's a huge surprise or anything, after the benches we've been seeing. The FX-62 did score higher in gaming benchmarks, but Intel took the crown with gaming at ultra-low resolutions.

The Conroe was also a normal, run of the mill chip. As the article states, I am excited to see what it can do when Tom's has the ability to tweak the Intel system.

And get ahold of a Core chip in the same price range as the FX-62. Seems to me like the Conroe will be one hell of a fun chip to overclock.

OC this cpu should be somthing big - it start @ such a relative low speed so it got to have some room to grow
just wonder what Intel has locked now in the Hardware
