There's very few games that allow you to be the bad guy, let alone an MMO! NCsoft is back again with a stand alone sequel to their popular City of Heroes game, and we are here to determine whether it's worth the monthly fee!

Discuss the review here! Or I will Flame Strike you!

Love it!! But you really need to read the storylines to understand the villian aspect of the game- or ewlse it will seem like a carbon copy of COH. And thus being my first MMO I do not miss a "loot system". BUT in the PVP areas you can "loot" other players of there hard work- their scientists or meteor rocks.

Yes... for some reason PvP didn't even cross my mind during the review or intereview. I will have to play the game further and find more out about that, haha.

While I think it is Great that you did such extensive research on the game, and I grant you, you interviewed a player with alot of experience; you Lost alot of points in my book by picking such an abusive, self absorbed, pitty-card-playing, "player" (I use the term loosely).

Otherwise, Great article

FYI Bloody Bay and Sirens Call are PvP-Hero versus Villain only you are automaticly set down to the maximum level for that zone if you are above it.

Warburg is a Free-for-all Zone ie: Hero v Hero, or whatever...
appropriate zone minimums apply.

There is a "Bounty" system in place in which players recieve a "target" (another player) and when you defeat that player you recieve points. these points are redeemable for Enhancements or Inspirations. Warning! if you leave the zone you lose your bounty points! be sure to redeem before you exit the PvP zones.

Have fun,
Happy Hunting

Absolute Malice,

Great, thanks a lot for the info! It's nice to know that characters level's are decreased in certain zones... I swear I wish that was more congruant through other games.

As for the player for the interview, I don't know his background nor stalk the message boards so I have no idea about any such thing. I asked the entire community for a volunteer and he msg'd me. Since he was the first one to reply, and seeing he has a ton of experience, he was chosen. I thought the interview turned out great in any regard.

Hi there,

quick question for you CoV players... does the game work together with CoH, like an add-on, or is CoV a separate game that exists in its own world? In other words, can the heroes of CoH battle the villains of CoV?

Firstly, they're two different games. Secondly, yes you can pvp against CoH players, but only in certain zones. Since the two games are different entirely, you've got to go to whole other areas to fight against CoH players. I don't play it but a friend of mine does. He enjoys the game a whole lot. From what I've seen of it, it looks to be quite fun. I like the whole Superhero/villain idea as an mmorpg.
