I admit that I'm getting bored with these things. SOPA, PIPA, ACTA and now whatever this is... ugh. The best part is that these laws are going to do nothing to piracy except increase it. Oh, I can't rip a movie to my Xbox? That's fine, I'll just go download it instead. Same for music, PVR, et cetera.

I read about it a while ago. Hardly anyone's saying much about it. We're so surrounded by American media, it seems we almost ignore what's happening locally
The same could be said about ACTA, which is scarier than all of these (it's in the UK but would affect a lot of other countries also, including USA and I believe Canada).

Yes, I saw that before. According to the article, it's been signed by 31 countries including Canada (22 members of the EU just signed it this month). It says after ratification by 6 states it will come into force.
