Kayden is in the alpha also.

There was a rumor that most of the alpha invites went to people over level 30, but from what I can tell, the distribution was just 100% random, based on those who had BC2 tied to their EA account.

Exactly i love to see people debate and squirm over the obviously false details of how to get in. I didn't preorder and my vet staus is only 1 so if it matters to be a vet at all it obviously doesn't matter if you call up support and ask them to change it to 8. I also didn't sign up for the newsletter but having an ea account already tends to have you on it.

I got my key from the invite site about 25 hours before I got my email. Mind you this wasn't the first time i had tried and I actually tried it again to show someone what happens and got in.

Whats funny is the people asking for keys outside of the site. Even if you managed to get origin to let you download it. You still have to log into battlelog with an invited account otherwise you cant play.

Had a few people in my clan get in.

Actually they said you would get into the Alpha if you signed up for the newsletter which I did but I don't remember when. I just got lucky, but it's Alpha and I reported a few bugs all ready so lets hope they are known so they don't spoil the beta.

They said it would improve your chances, not that it'd be a sure thing. And for those who've registered BC2 with EA, chances are they'd be on the mailing list already (I receive the BF3 newsletter but I've never specifically signed up for it).

Its finally been announced Origin preorders will get beta access. I was unfortunately sold at preinstalling lol. Unfortunately im still having payment auth issues with their ever crappy store.

Im converting my Alpha screen shots into a compressed format now and thats it alpha is over for me sad sad sad lol.

For the different bonuses. Technically if the two coincide your not getting screwed. I pay 60 bucks for one game and get into the beta you paid 60 bucks for a different game and got into the beta. Only cruddy end of the deal is I got in paying for the game the beta is actually for and some people got conned into buying a game they didn't want at all.
