Barcode Printer research?

I'm doing market research for a firm and trying to compile a list of barcode printers that were available prior to 2000 that were XML-enabled (capable of printing XML datastreams), or that were capable of being connected to Oracle or SAP database.

Any help or info on specific printer models would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know their specific model numbers but we use IBM bar code printers here at work. I also just setup a Zebra as well but it's well newer than what you are asking about. Like Tater said, Google might be your best course of action at this point, sorry.

I still have this bar code printer. (Intermec 3400)

Can't get rid of the thing.

Print head alone is suppose to be over $300.
