Ok, it looks like SLi's killer is on it's way. MVP is the ATI version of SLi, but works quite differently. Instead of using an internal connector, if you combine two top end ATI cards, you will require a dongle that is outside your case, rather than inside.

It's going to be a couple months before we see this happen, or see benchmarks, but it's going to be VERY cool to see how this plays out. Surely, two X850XT's will bring a better performance than two 6800GT's.
