"Warren Buffet , the world's second richest man, announced over the weekend that he will soon donate 85% of his entire net worth, weighing in at around $37 Billion, to charities, with over 80% of it going to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This makes it the single largest monetary donation in history."

Yup
Two Too rich guys working together to try a fix the world.
all good causes (health and education) getting somewhere around $3 billion a year for the next 20 years, and Gates is likely to put another $45 billion in the pot over the next 10-15 years.
When you look at all the money our government spends around the world (far to much on arms and payola, far less then this to help all the people) it makes you wonder if the US couldn't follow the example and make a bigger difference (not that we don't help, but our dollars could go farther towards better things)

Remember that one scene in Mr Deeds when he gave $40 Billion to charity. Thecnically that would be the largest donation in history.
