Let me start by saying, I'm not a die hard Conservative voter. If someone could do a better job, I'd vote for them.

With that out of the way, WOOHOO! Now we can forget all of this coalition bullshit and childish infighting and get on with running the country. 4 elections in 7 years? WTF?!

Say what you will about Harper, we came out of this economic mess in damn good shape.

Anyway, I'm not really into politics to the point I can sit here and debate who is better or who's policies I like better but I'm glad things went the way they did. It's been a while since we've had a majority government and I feel pretty comfortable with who is running the show.

I think the Bloc is pretty much finished. Maybe start a political party under the Canadiens. I'm sure you'd have a better voter turn out.

Congrats to the Green Party. While it's like a hamburger's chance in a Weight Watchers convention that they will be able to get much accomplished but it's a start.

Oh, one last thing. To the Liberals...

Back to the US with you, Ignatieff! That's where you want to be anyway and the Canadian voters know it. That's why you didn't even get your elected in your own riding!

I'm not into politics at all, so I can't comment. I can say, though, that I appreciate the fact that our elections start and finish in like two months, as opposed to the nearly two years it takes a US election to happen.

Yeah, I've heard of it. They weren't on my ballot either. Ditto for the Rhinoceros Party!

If I had known there wasn't going to be a Rhino candidate on my ballot I would have coughed up the $1000 and ran.

Actually I should have run for the NDP, looks like they could have elected a dead squirrel in Quebec.

Yeah, the NDP did very well in Quebec. I don't really know what's best for this country, or if who gets in makes that big of a difference. Anyway, I think Harper has done a few good things. I have read that Canada is now a military power, whereas we were not prior to harper. Some people may not like that. But I believe relying on the US or UK for defense in laughable for a country like Canada. We could have a first-rate military. Keep it up!
